Notes:

The Flashes tee off the 2025-26 season after winning the program’s 29th MAC Championship in April. The Flashes earned a spot in the Amherst NCAA Regional, where they narrowly missed out on advancing to the NCAA Championships.
The 2025 Pan Pacific University Golf Super League marks the second annual edition of the event. It is the first time Kent State has appeared in the tournament after the MAC was represented by Central Michigan in Japan last Fall.
Kent State’s opening lineup of the season is entirely made up of underclassmen, including three returning sophomores and two freshmen set to make their debuts in Curtis and Leuenhagen.
Star sophomore Isaiah Ibit headlines the Kent State lineup in Japan. In his debut collegiate season in 2024-25, Ibit tallied seven top 20 finishes, four top ten finishes, and three top five finishes. He also recorded 19 rounds of par or better and 13 rounds in the 60s. Ibit’s best finish of the season came in his home country at the Canadian Collegiate last September, where he fired a season-best 54-hole score of 12-under-par at 204 to finish as runner-up. In July, Ibit made his professional debut at his hometown course, making the cut at the Commissionaires Ottawa Open.
Nolan Haynes is back for the Flashes after appearing in 11 events as a freshman last season. Haynes tallied eight rounds of par or better en route to a 73.84 scoring average. His best 54-hole score of the season was a 6-under-par 210 at the Hootie at Bulls Bay, where he finished tied for 16th.
The third and final sophomore in the Flashes’ lineup is Ramiro Acevedo, who also posted a strong freshman season in 2024-25. Acevedo opened his collegiate career with a win at the 2024 Minnesota Golf Classic, where he competed as an individual. Across the season, he tallied ten rounds of par or better and five top 20 finishes for the Flashes.
Liam Curtis is set to make his collegiate debut for Kent State in Japan. The son of former Kent State golfers Ben and Candace Curtis, Liam begins his collegiate journey after a successful high school career, which was capped off by a win at the 2025 Ohio Junior.
Christoffer Leuenhagen is the other freshman slated to make his Kent State debut in Japan. The Danish international joins the Flashes after an impressive junior career featuring wins at the 2025 Denmark Junior Golf Association Spring Open and the 2024 West Coast Masters.
