I am a Castlegar resident. I just wanted to let you know how excited I am about the possibility of Castlegar getting a disc golf course. I have played disc golf for over 20 years and have played all over B.C. I play at least twice a week. I play with my family and have a group of friends I play with regularly, as well as league nights.
The Kinnaird Park location that is proposed is a great choice for a disc golf course. Castlegar needs its own course, as this sport has exploded in the last five years. Numerous other nearby cities and towns have courses that are used regularly and enjoyed by its residents. This is a great opportunity for Castlegar to have another easily accessed and free recreational opportunity. It is also an attraction for people to stop and play from out of town. Thanks for reading.
