HARRIS, Mich. — The RedHawks are in 11th place after day one of the Island Resort Intercollegiate, with a score of 571, or five below par. Brett Podobinski leads the Red and White with a score of four below par, or 140.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Brett Podobinski (69-71=144) ended the two rounds of play tied for 20th. He shot an eagle on the 16th hole of the first round, following the next hole with a birdie. He shot six birdies overall.
Cameron Pero (74-69=143) moved up 19 places to tie for 40th, shooting one below par. He shot five birdies in his first round and three in his second.
Liam Nelson (69-75=144) shot even par and is tied for 49th place. He shot 10 birdies throughout the two rounds.
Joseph Canitano, (75-69=144) a new addition to the roster from Michigan State, is tied for 40th at even par.
Nathan Vonderhaar (72-74=146) is tied for 62nd. He shot an eagle on the 16th hole of the first round.
Tyler Anderson (73-75=148) shot four above par, totaling 148 strokes. He is tied for 73rd.
Michael Weber (78-70=148) ended the day at four above par. He shot an eagle on the eighth hole of the second round, following it with a birdie. He moved up nine places.
