[Music] If you look at this table, there’s a lot of things that jump out. There’s game day. There’s a Thursday night broadcast with me, you, and Mike Trico. But first, the pencil. I’ll let you in a little secret on how I pick the games like this. Heads. It’s Minnesota tails. Northwestern. What is it? It is heads. Okay. Minnesota be Northwestern. The Lee Corso persona. Unconventional, wacky at times. That’s what it’s all about. It was born during his coaches shows at Louisville and then later Indiana. Play number one. They got the ball in the oneyd line. is about 20. I was told that Pepper Rogers and Lee Corso would be the two guys coming in to audition. And whenever the red light was off, Lee would start talking to Pepper. And he’d say, “Can you come up here every week? You don’t want to come up here every week, do you?” He is basically talking Pepper out of even wanting the job. I said, “I might not get a job, but I know one thing, you ain’t going to get it.” Cuz I said, “I’ll do it for nothing. on Saturday night. You’ll see him right here live on on ESPN. All right, coach. We’ll be talking. No one could have thought at that moment this guy was going to become a giant. And good morning. Glad you could join us for the season premiere of College Game Day as the early years for Lee Corso in game day. He was a fire brand. Football players don’t know if you’re in the SEC or the ACC. When a guy hits them in the mouth, they hit him back. He would not shy away from saying controversial things, strong opinions, strongly stated. He could be a polarizing figure. Rocket Ismile is a special brilliant part-time player. Hi everybody. Chris Fowler along with the coach Lee Corso the pony Craig James and about 2,000 Irish and seminal fans. No one ever took a show like that on the road and that gave us something really different. I’ll take Florida State 3130. Yay. Hey, hey, I think no today is 3130. Welcome aboard the new member of our college game day team. You’re in good hands next to the veteran here, Lee Corso. That’s right. That’s Mr. Corso to you, the new guy. He was young. He was like my player and I could be a leader. Lee Corso Street. Come on now. Redeem, let’s go for it. Foul Corso makes the pick. I could never be Lee Corso, but how lucky was I to sit next to the greatest entertainer in the history of sports television. Rocky Top Rocky top. Not so fast. Whatever the heck it is, it’s undefinable. It’s indescribable. But it’s Corso. He just has it. Not so fast, my friend. Not so fast, my friend. Not so fast, my friend. You want this, you got that. No way. Watch them walk right past you. Run fast. Run fast while you have a chance. Don’t speak.

  2. When I was in high school Corso was the head coach at Indiana. He had a Sunday tv show & it was hilarious
