With new equipment in her bag, Nelly Korda got off to a hot start at this week’s FM Championship with a first-round 67 that left her two shots behind the leaders.
But the former World No. 1 has been stuck in neutral since, and as of Sunday afternoon at TPC Boston in Norton, Mass., she had slipped to the middle of the pack, 12 shots off the pace set by Miranda Wang of China.
Nipping closely at Wang’s heels, meanwhile, was the woman who recently supplanted Korda atop the Rolex rankings: Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand.
Also in the mix was American Rose Zhang, followed by a closely bunched pack of pursuers that included Jin Hee Im and Sei Young Kim of Korea, and Celine Borge of Norway.
