Jeeno and Miranda Wang are tied at 20 under. Jeeno is on the 14th hole while Wang is on 13. The closest chaser, Rose Zhang, is three back. It’s looking like a two-horse race for the FM Championship title.

Jeeno Thitikul turns in 31 to get to 19 under for the tournament and in a share of the lead with Miranda Wang. No player on the LPGA has won more than once this year, and Thitikul is in position to become the first. The world No. 1 hit all nine greens on the front nine, missed only one fairway and took 13 putts in her opening nine.

The World No. 1 is within a shot of Miranda Wang. Jeeno is 4 under thru 7 holes at TPC Boston and has shrunk her deficit from four to one shot at TPC Boston.

Good friends Miranda Wang and Rose Zhang teed off together in the final round at TPC Boston at 1:50 p.m. Sunday marked the first time the pair had played together on the LPGA. Both Wang (Duke) and Zhang (Stanford) helped lead their teams to an NCAA Championship. Both moved to Las Vegas after turning professional.

“This is my first time playing with her in competition, but I know her since the junior golf, so we’re close friends off the course,” said Wang. “We live pretty close together in Vegas. We always want to play together, have fun or eat together, but it’s a lot of travel for us. We really haven’t been very much in Vegas, so I’m happy we get to play together out here this week.”

South Korea’s Jin Hee Im is racing up the leaderboard at the FM Championship with nine birdies in her first 12 holes. She has hit all 12 greens in regulation and has taken only 15 putts. Im has birdied her last four holes and is 14 under for the tournament, four strokes back of leader Miranda Wang, who has yet to begin the final round.

Wang, 26, is an LPGA rookie ranked 187th in the world. She attended Duke, earning the clinching point at Blessings Golf Club in the Blue Devils’ 2019 national championship. She has a pair of top-10 finishes on the LPGA thus far and has made $423.2k in career earnings.

Last year, Wang made 16 of 18 cuts on the Epson Tour, including six top-10 finishes, to earn her LPGA card. Now, she’s chasing her first LPGA victory and become the 24th different winner in 23 events this season.
