My home course asked me to bring my dog to help scare the geese off. She had the best day of her life. She has clearly found her purpose.

Just make sure they didn’t spray chemicals within a few days (minimum) of bringing your dog to the course to do this, imho.

They looooove chasing the geese! :3

Well, this is definitely a better solution than my course “lets try to get a license for a day and let people come hunt out here”. Nothing could go wrong there. lol

First time I saw this was at Pebble Beach – there was a guy and his dog that would just roll around in a cart and the pup would jump out while the cart was rolling along – absolutely terrorize the birds at top speed – then loop back and jump back in the still moving cart and chill in the seat until he spied the next group. It was poetry in motion.

  4. My greyhounds would love this, might have a better chance of actually catching them which may not be ideal.

Courses and other businesses around me use a service called The Geese Police. They have a few border collies that chase them off. Super cool dogs when they aren’t working.

There’s a park near my house with geese on it every morning. My Springer Spaniel is such a fixture there that neighbors have come out to thank me (she does all the work).

You know that if you live near a big city with lots of office buildings management companies will pay great money for you and your dog to scare geese from their properties.

Hell, I like it when a course has a resident dog just to hang out by the club house and get pets.

You sir are the man. And your pup is pretty amazing too

There is a course in the Dallas area that has coyote decoys around the greens that the geese like to hangout on. It works.

I send my dog on similar missions in the backyard to keep the squirrels away from my bird feeders.

  12. love the legs already going before they hit the ground 🤣

Had a co worker who managed a golf course. He brought her daily and this was her job. My dogs are too dumb for this

Im in charge of college athletic fields and last year I deputized an elderly gentleman and his two terriers to dig up and remove moles. They are incredible to watch and they dont even seem to think about hunting them until he gives his command. One time they ripped one clean apart when it was stuck under a chain link fence. Absolutely awesome dogs and I am glad yours has found heaven.

That’s great. My dogs would love that too.

My local muni used to have one of these. I really miss that dog.

That’s great! Thank you for your service, the shit on the greens pisses me off. Wish my course would allow a goose hunt, it’s outside the city so would be legal.

Our super has a dog that “works” with him all day. His entire job is chasing geese. We used to have a big problem with the geese until the dog came along and now no goose droppings or “picked grass” areas anywhere.

My dog would not return that quickly lol good boy

My super had a legit “course dog” that would do this all day every day. Happiest pup I’ve ever seen chasing those cobra chickens

A course near me uses fake swans. They have one floating in a pond. Apparently, swans are the mortal enemy of geese. When the geese fly over and see the swan they just keep right on going.

That is so funny ! Good for your dog !!!!😂🤣
Hopefully that is the dogs permanent job !

  23. greatflicks

What a great job for her and good job getting rid of the geese. They make a mess of the course.

  24. Swagron12

Why do you throw the dog down like that? Is that really necessary or for dramatic effect?

  25. celerhelminth

Awesome. I have a bird dog who would have done the exact same thing…

  26. mrod9191

My dog would chase geese for 5 seconds and then go to town on all of the geese poop

  27. AffectionateBet3603

One day, I too hope to find self actualization.

  28. Moist-Pickle-2736

I like how you launch her like some kind of goose-homing missile

  29. We_wanna_play

A couple courses near me have fake coyotes set up by the water, seems to be working

  30. clientnotfound

Sounds like there is a goose behind the camera too
