Baldwin. Lot of loft on a down slope. Thought he might run it. He’s not. He’s going to lob it up there. Well, that might not be his forte. What a shot from Matt Baldwin. Take that. Second shot to the first. Oh, go on. Go on. Go on. What a shot from Cars. Aken at the thought 188. Takes all sorts of postures, Kent, doesn’t it? Yes, he’s bit old school. Hits everything with a cut, but got a lot of command of his game. Second green up the little ledge. Go on. Run it out. Run it out. Woo! Par the first, Birdie at the second. Kuso, look at that flag stick way over there by the bunker on the right. Just over that many leaderboard. Big T-shot. The glorious iron. Massive drive allows him to hit a shortage in there and judge it pretty well. Another three or four yards. Oh my goodness. Had two looks of the hole. There you go. Pison. Nice t-shirt. A little bit on up slope. Ooh, who’s going to show who the line there? How’s he going to play this? Very open club face. Oh, that was sweet, sweet, sweet. A little confidence and a decent lie to play a shot like that. Near guard a little downhill from this side to get to nine under. [Applause] Raas fire. This is a par pot. So he’s been in trouble. One of the holes these players are expecting to body. And he has great pop there from Huygar for the par. Doesn’t make a difference. They all count. Yeah, I think it’s wide open. Me. Me, too. And this guy right here, he’s every chance. He’s done it before. Don’t you worry about that. What about that? What about that for a start? [Music] He loves it here in the mountains, doesn’t he? Tristan Lawrence not great. Eli’s okay though, giving him a slight chance. Better than that bonus. And that was the cheer I think we heard moments ago. [Applause] One against the head there for Gerbach. Time to make a three right here. Sets up. Lovely. Lovely shot indeed. I wonder if Jamie Max still got the RDER Cup yardage book in his back pocket. Good long T- shot for Fitzpatrick at the fourth. Yes. Yes, sir. My goodness. It must have looked good from his end. Gliding down. Is it going to plummet next to the flag? And it sure did. To get to minus 10 and within one. Well, there’s a a red run. And as I said, don’t pull it. Stay. Stay. Blunt. What a fabulous pin, isn’t it? You got to get it just right with the right angle, with the right spin. On the direct line. It’s about 305 to the back of the green. Oh, that’s a marvelous shot from this factory with the three metal. Absolutely stunning. Good angle of the flag. The flag about two and a half paces above the ridge in the green. A little tear. Oh, nearly nearly nearly another two. Just past 6:00 local time. So they’ve slowed up a little. That’s a couple of huge putts. Lawrence has hold in the first five holes and it gets him back to minus 12. And it is Fitzpatrick trying to make his presence felt. Three under for the day through seven. He’s got himself to minus 11. One back of Lawrence. That pin’s in the shadow on the left. Well, get up and down. It’ll be six in a row. Come on. Oh, odds on, isn’t it? What a performance from the fin. Oh, just just enough pace. Just enough pace. It was dying to the right from the back of the eighth green. Menel. Yes. At last. At last. Don’t know where the best place to miss this is to be perfectly honest. left obviously, but if you can find the between the pickets and the right edge of the green, it wouldn’t be too bad either. That’s a clever shot. That’ll do it right there. That’s you miss it right there. This was six birdies in a row. Of course, of course it is. How did 30? He did bogey the second, but look at that run. Much squarer than Lawrence. So just aiming left edge of the green. Good line. Absolutely. Oh, what a shot. Two fantastic shots. Better than six feet long cuz that’s what uh Wallace is. Got a really good touch going this morning. Judging the pace well this afternoon now isn’t it? Yeah. We’ve been here so long. It’s got to dribble it. Well done. Great putt. Well done. Thank you. That’s terrific. Unbelievably this first body of the day. Oh, here we go. Here he is. The man on the left hand side. It’s quite tight to the edge. No pins are safe for this man on the course today. Got to take a chance to get this close as well. Got to take a chance. Delightful shot. Face wide open. Little up slope and played it delightfully. Guido Milotsi and one under one birdie and bingo. Two birdies on the day. Lose to 10 under. Bit of a cushion behind or in where he’s the way he’s coming in. So when he spins it, I don’t think it’ll make its way down the green. But how much spin does he get on it? Very nicely judged. This is unbelievable stuff. Never left the flag. Very difficult to get the ball back to that. No idea. He’s got no idea. It’s an absolutely perfectish judge shot. Little putt down the slope for a two. I think he’s pretty close. I think he’s too close to get any action. And if he lands it short of the flag, it could scoop forward and it won’t back up. And that’ll that thus being too close. But he gives up. What a wonderful shot. My goodness. Well, after the T-shot that he didn’t know where he’d gone. Got 8 ft down the hill. You go. Dailed in with that one. Where were you, Andrew, when you lost your card? What championship was it? Okay, you’re right. Can’t see the top of the flag stick. Jamie, you steeply downhill pin on the left there. What a shot from Fitz Patrick. Perfect spot off the tea at the 14th in front left. Starting right. Is it drawing? Yeah, beautiful shot. Lovely shot. That’s where I’d like to be in a Pikmin ball up. Good chance for Manel. It’s a slow one though. He’s just seen his play. Barner’s come up short. Get it there, Rich. Get it there. Get it there. Well done. Nice way to finish. He knows it. Bit of a fist pump there. On a little down slope. Turn the toe in and hit a little draw shot and dead arm it and try to flatten it out. Just like that. Off the right. Just halfway it goes left and straightens. Oh, good effort. Well, it nearly got you out your seat. That is saying something. Kraken trying from Valamaki. It’s eight under for his round, but he’s not going to get finished. Remember, he is finished. Naturally flatten itself out. Just as long as it does skid up there and there’s dew on the greens now. So that skid landing at about 20 ft short should appear. And he’s hitting it remarkably well. clock. Omega clock saying 2 minutes to eight. So good at those middle irons. Yeah, pin front left though. That helps. I think he likes it, you know. Oh, he loves it. What a shot from Matt Fitzpatrick. right lip. Well done. It was dying quickly to the left. Thank you very much. Could he pick that out any slower? Having a little look. He looks like he doesn’t want to go on. He’s in no rush. anything. Give a tricky little shot this but Oh, what a way to finish. It’s all happening at the end. That’s the second time he’s chipped in today. Did it for a two over there at the third. But it’s Patrick to get to 15. Wow, what an exhibition Fitzpatrick’s putting on. That’s his second eagle of the day. Eagle the seventh earlier. Not going the aerial route, I don’t think. Medium height. [Applause] Beautiful pup. Oh, he even put one in the dark. What a putt. They get to minus 15. [Applause] [Music] This is an amazing round of golf. Oh, no. No, he’s not. He’s leaving it there. No, he’s decided to leave it. I think they’ve done remarkably well to get this far around. Obviously blessed with conditions that enabled uh them to get through 12 and a half holes. Valamaka eight under for the round. Why did they run out of time?
what a panorama <3
Is it just me or are these greens like dart boards? Every approach seems to just stick and stay where it lands
Stunning course. One of my favourites. Some super golf here today, in particular from Valimaki, Lawrence and Fitzy.
Great course, great tournament, amazing golf
Let's. Go!!!! I put $1 on Lawrence at +4000 haha
Välimäki going to get it done for sure
Now that's how to do a highlights…someone show this to whoever tries to do the pga tour highlights.
Honestly one of the best tournaments of the year. I always look forward to this stop. Should be a Rolex Series event (but its title sponsor is rival Omega Watches 🤦♂️) Even still it attracts some big names and great golf. Must be one of the most picturesque courses in the world.
And seriously.. Luke Donald, pick Matt Wallace as your 12th for Bethpage. 7-11 are locks, Wallace is 12 on points… he’s in for sure.
