PORT Glasgow Golf Club were crowned Inverclyde Golf’s team champions for the fourth time after a tight contest at Gourock Golf Club.
The event was first played nearly 50 years ago in 1976 and involves 12-man teams from each of the area’s four clubs – Gourock, Greenock, Port Glasgow and Whinhill.

The showpiece is held at each of the four golf clubs on a rota basis, with Gourock hosting the 2025 edition on a course set up in great condition.
The format featured 12 fourball better-ball matches, with each club playing two matches against their three rivals.
Port Glasgow edged out Gourock by a single point, gaining four points to Gourock’s three, with Greenock and Whinhill earning 2.5 points each.
