Kai Trump shed light on the special tribute that she has for Rory McIlroy inside her home. McIlroy and Trump have crossed paths on more than one occasion this year, most notably playing a practice round ahead of the Genesis Invitational in February.

During the pair’s golf outing at Torrey Pines, Trump hilariously attempted to make the outing go “as fast as possible” while trying to keep up with the Northern Irishman. McIlroy, meanwhile, made his true feelings on the young golfer and granddaughter of the president clear.

It appears as though Trump has held onto a keepsake to remember the special occasion. In a recent YouTube vlog titled “My First Day of Senior Year,” she revealed that there’s a picture of her and McIlroy hanging in the “hangout room” of her house in Jupiter, Florida.

“So this is like my hangout room,” Trump explained while seated on a couch. “If I have friends over I come in here,” she said. “When we moved back here my mom made this kind of a room for us, or for me at least.

“I have all my trophies over here, some cool things I’ve done. I have a photo of me and Rory, Golden Goose designed me some shoes. I have just some of my golf stuff over here and whatnot.”

This is hardly the first time that Trump has shown her support for McIlroy. Back in April, the grandchild of President Donald Trump publicly backed the 36-year-old to win the Masters.

In a TikTok set to Lady Gaga’s 2009 hit ‘Bad Romance,’ Trump mouthed the words “I don’t wanna be friends” while displaying text that declared: “Rory isn’t going to win the Masters.” She also wrote in the caption, “Let’s go Rory, it’s time to get that green jacket!”

Once McIlroy emerged victorious in his 11th attempt at completing the career Grand Slam — a feat that only Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods have accomplished in the Masters era — Trump wrote on Instagram: “Congrats Rory, so well deserved! Beyond happy for you.”

Back in January, Trump and her mom, Vanessa visited the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida for night four of the 2025 TGL season.

It was there that the mother-daughter duo watched as Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club defeated McIlroy’s Boston Common Golf team, 4-3, in the tech-infused golf league that they co-founded.

As players from both sides were being formally introduced, Kai managed to secure a high-five from McIlroy while reaching over the railing during his walkout.

Several weeks later, Trump displayed her own golfing prowess at Torrey Pines during the aforementioned charity event intended to raise money for those who were impacted by the California wildfires.

Upon hitting a beautiful shot from the rough that came to a standstill on the green, Trump received due praise from McIlroy — who couldn’t resist slipping in a backhanded compliment.

“Good shot, Kai. You’re too good for this YouTube golf,” McIlroy said. Trump took the unsubtle dig in stride, replying: “Honestly, I think that’s what it is. I’m just too good.”
