[Music] Brilliant. I ask, I receive. Britney, this is the transfer insiders of me. Majestic and broadcaster and Man United fan flex as uh we requested earlier Britney Spears sometimes because sometimes Ruben Aron can see himself being at Man United for decades. Sometimes he loves his players, but sometimes he hates his players. Sometimes he wants to quit. So, we are dedicating this song to Ruben Emer. It’s pump it up. Turn it out. This is Reuben. Come on. [Music] Oh, what’s going on at my club? You’ve become a meme. Why is this happening, man? the 1999 Bayern Munich. Oh, it’s two-1 United. It’s Teddy Shane out. It’s turned into a meme, mate. It’s turned into a meme. And for once, I could laugh as a Spurs fan. Bet you four times last year. And that’s the And that’s in and that as well. That’s This is what I mean like from every angle. Like I had Grimby fans, you know, messaging me saying, you know, can we play every year and play every week? Sorry. There’s a fish and chip shop in Grimsby that have their stuff tonight and it says Cod Hadock Manchester United all come battered all come battered. Uh this is the Cher insiders and tonight on talk about 2:00 p.m. in the championship there’s exclusive commentary of seventh against fifth as Leicester host Birmingham and with the team’s news. It’s your match commentator Jim Bradford. Yes, good evening match. One change for each team in this Midlands derby. Lester recalls Stephie Maditi after injury in place of Jeremy Monger. But another one of the Fox’s 16year-olds, Louis Paige does start. Still no place in the 20 for El Canoose who Marty Cuentes described as being not mentally ready to play last week. And now even though his potential move to Palace has collapsed, he’s still absent. Blues are without last season’s top scorer Jay Stansfield after his ankle injury in the late stages of their shock League Cup exit to Port Veil. So Lewis Kumas comes in for his league debut for the club after his lone move from Liverpool and Alex Cochran is fit enough to return to the bench. So Lester have Stellaric in goal. Chowry, Akoli, Vestigard and Thomas Skip and Samare. Fawu, Paige and Madidi behind Aou all stops in goal for Birmingham who make one change to last week but nine to the side that went out of the cup. Asai Samuel Nyman, Claraara and Le across the back. Williamson, Pa, Iata, and former Leicester Premier League winner Deari Gray in midfield with Kumas in support of Kyogo up front. We’ve got the whole game live on Talk Sport 2. Another former champion, Marco Brighton’s with me. And the buildup’s underway right now ahead of an 8:00 kickoff. Thank you very much, Jim. That is Lester against Birmingham and his exclusive on Talk Sport 2. Uh we had a message here from Ryan. He said, “For God’s sake, match, I had that song stuck in my head ever since you mentioned it, and now it’s going to be in there all night.” Uh, sorry. Sorry, Ryan. Um, you know, we we’re looking at this positive move that Spurs made in the transfer window with Javi Simmons. Yet to see what he’s going to be like the Premier League. Lot to to wait on that. It’s a complete different ball game in the Premier League as we know. But one thing that we can look at the difference between Manchester United and Spurs is of course after that emotional victory with big hands rather than going again with him like you did with Tenar got rid of him new guy in here’s his philosophy adaptability can change it up and you look at the polar opposite of Ruben Amarim and the fact he is not excuse the pun flex tactic tactically flexible um I’m walking out of it you know is that gonna I think that we are at a place now where we have seen the end of this. I’m a manager with a philosophy. I can name you three off the bat. An Russell Martin, Ruben Amaran. Of course, an won Europa League against all of his philosophy. You go look at Frankfurt. You look at all of the games like the final. It wasn’t an ball. It was win football. Just find a way to win. And that is that is the currency, right? Wins, man. Man United’s, you know, DNA is is winning. It is it isn’t, you know, aligned to a specific formation. And yeah, we we attribute United to, you know, wingers and, you know, just by just playing on the front foot, entertaining, um, and trying to win football matches at all costs, you know, and that is that is what’s letting Ruben Amarim down. Now, I don’t I I’m not going to be a like revisionist and say like I didn’t want Ruben Aarim to stay after the the the cup final in Europe. Like I I did cuz I thought listen, give him give him a summer. Give him a summer. You know, he’s been saying that I need time on the training field with players and etc. which managers do need that. You do need that. Should he have shown more instead of finishing 15th? Absolutely. Very lucky to keep his job, but considering what he came into, and that’s what you can’t accuse Man United fans of being is sort of overreactionary and sort of calling for his head too soon. So, I was sort of in the mindset of that. But also, what you can’t do is rid the manager of any responsibility, mad. You can’t if you’re going to stick to your principles and die on that hill when it goes wrong, you don’t you you don’t get to shy away from that. you don’t get to and you can’t make excuses for him. You have to you have to be strong as a as a fan and say well he told us that the storm’s coming which that that statement got him loads of credit because you know what we started to do as United fans we sort of say listen it’s a 15th but he did say this was going to happen he set us up he he he had a look at us and said it’s going to get worse before it gets better so you go you know what I don’t want to be reaction we get behind this man so you don’t get to say that then on the last day of the season against Villa when we beat them for no reason by the way just beat them for no reason just to mess them up like we just lost to you in the final. We just go and beat Villa for no reason. Right. Then he says, “First I said the storm’s coming. The storm’s come or whatever. Now I will say the good times are coming.” That’s the last thing he said to us. The good times are coming. And the good times grim and and look and now we hit a new record low. So what do you expect fans to do? And then you’re saying these stuff in the press. Let’s go over to the phone lines. Let’s hear from the fans. Let’s go hear from Kenny who’s a Man United fan. Good evening Kenny. Good evening lads. How’s it going Kenny? Not well. Not by them a United fan. So yeah, exactly. But I’m I’m I’m going to try and keep my temper over this because we have a we have a squad, not just a team, a squad of entitled little boys who think they’ve achieved things in the game. Kobe Mayu, I want a move cuz I want to play football. How about trying to like when you’ve got United shirt on? I think that’s harsh. Kenny could be on Ken, finish. Let me finish. Go on, Kenny. He’s He’s having the pace set by a manager who comes out and says, “Sometimes I want to leave, sometimes I want to stay.” Where’s the stomach for the fight? That’s true. If anybody thinks that it’s a formation that let us down against Grimby or in other games, they’re in Dreamland. This squad aren’t good enough. I’ve said it for about six or seven years now. If these players were on the free market and none of them were at United, how many of you would target and say, “Let’s go and get Diego Dalo. Let’s go and get any of them.” Any of them? Well, ironically, Kenny Manchester United sitting at Barcelona. Ironically, I think Mayu is one of them that I’d actually look at and go, he’s a player you could identify as someone that could do a thing. I think for Kobe Mayu is he’s been bought in and it was 10 that brought him in, right? and he and he’s he’s done really well for Man United. Got that move into England starter for England in the Euros. Sorry, I know. Sorry. Sorry to interrupt, but Kobe Manu had about six or seven good games when he first started because he was keen. He had a point to prove. He’s fell into the fat cat syndrome and he n the Gachos of the world, the Rashfords of the world. No, Kenny. No, I’m I’m I’m sorry, Kenny. That I think I I completely disagree with you on the Kobe Man situation. Do you know do you know why Kenny do you know I I agree with you in terms of players attitudes and their egos can get to them really really quickly but let’s break down this KB manu situation like properly right our manager has said that Bruno Fernandez now is out of his best position and put him into center midfield which is not where he’s supposed to be playing right and our manager says that Kobe Mayu has to compete for his place in the squad with the undropable captain who stunk the place out against Fulham and doesn’t get taken off the pitch. So then if you’re so if you’re Kobeu and you’re you’re a central midfielder by trade and you’re not competing against Casemiro who’s passed it, you’re not competing with Ugate who can’t pass and and can just run after people and you’ve been told that you’re going to you’re going to all you can do is compete with the player who’s undable, who shouldn’t even be playing in your position. What’s he supposed to think? Listen, I think Kobe Manu is the best midfielder at the club. What I’m saying is his attitude stinks. How? Yeah, but I I think I think that Kenny from the outside looking in, I think it’s the way that he’s been dealt with and this is my issue with Ruben Amato and Char. No, no, but but again, this is my problem with Ruben Amar, right? If you look at right, Ganacho and Rashford on their days, say if they were on fire, like the Ganacho that we’ve seen at on their days, Rashford had one good season, Ganacho’s had about 12 good games. Yeah, but those 12 good games and the one good season Rashford has had, right, they would arguably be as good if not better than Bumo and Kuna in my opinion. Right. And so I I think this manager I don’t think they’re the answer either. You rebuild a club, we need a new keeper, we need two good the keeper situation. Listen, it all starts with the manager like the fact that the manager’s coming out of sometimes I want to quit and all that kind of stuff. Then you’ve got a keeper who you can’t rely on. Two keepers you can’t rely on. He’s not playing. He hasn’t started him in the first place. Why we rebuilding? Why are we rebuilding from the front when we leak like a s at the back? Well, but I tell but I’ll tell you why, Kenny, though. And here’s this is the problem what we’ve got, right? There’s so many problems at Man United. What we can’t agree on is where to start. We scored 44 Premier League goals last year. Do you know the only team who scored more than us, but they didn’t go down, less than us, is Everton. The rest of the teams went down. So, so and when you looked at what we conceded, we conceded probably about, I think, 52, 50 odd, something like that, which is which is in line with some of the teams that are sort of at the top of the table. So, I actually don’t blame them for saying, “Mate, we scored. We can’t score.” There was a lot of games last year where Man United were looking comfortable because we got five defenders on the pitch. You know, they’re all in the UK, but but there’s nothing up front. So, I don’t blame them for that. But what you what you are right, Kenny, is you also have to know that Onana is not it. Bayer is not it. You’re asking for trouble. You need a central midfielder. So, we were right to get those attackers, though. Brilliant call, Kenny. Thank you. So much to dive into tonight. Man United fan. This is what I mean. There’s so many problems, imagine. It’s like, why have we done that? No, we need mate. We scored 44 goals. But I I just don’t think is not the problem. But this is because you’re trying to identify the problem and the problem always has to start and end with the manager. And the fact of the matter is when you are his decisions. Yeah, they’re his decisions. Like for example, go back to the Europa League final because we can both relate to that because we were both in it. Ganacho, someone that I watch as a player and I’m scared of like looking about coming on and like, you know, didn’t utilize him. The players that weren’t utilized in that final, I was just like, what is these decisions? That makes no sense. On AM, on DAB, via the Talk Sport app, and on your smart speaker. Talk sport.

  1. Are we just going to act like the reason we're dropping points and losing games this season isn't because of our goalkeepers?
Our goalkeepers can't claim high balls? Is that a joke? How are we keeping quiet over that, especially when we've been crying about the goalkeepers before the season started…
And the midfield, if we had good players to play that role, I don't think Bruno would be playing there, and let's not forget that it was kobbie mianoo playing in the Grimsby game, and he didn't show me anything special why he should be playing EPL games if he can't dominate a league 2 side…

  2. You can't rely on the keepers. True, but you can't rely on the attacking midfielders or strikers either. Score one more goal than you let in, and Manchester United would be a force.

  3. Kobie Mainoo is the most overrated player in years. He should have been no where near that England team in the euros and the gas went straight to his head

  4. People ask why players don't show blind loyalty to clubs and the fans, kenny is proving exactly why.

  5. I'm a lifelong United fan I've had a season ticket for years & honestly Mainoo is extremely overrated he is way too slow to be a centre midfielder he is very good with the ball & very press resistant but without the ball his tactical awareness is non existent & gets ran through like he isnt even there. He is either in the wrong place & when he is in the right place he isn't fast enough too track his man. & After this loan request of the back of playing the entire game against Grimsby & playing absolutely terrible has pissed a lot of match going fans particularly the ones I sit with & speak with….. We couldn't care less if he leaves if I'm honest & if he cares more about his place in the world cup squad than the team that gave him everything he has tells me everything I need too know about him. Entitled selfish & a inflated ego

  6. 3 games in and United fans look tired and defeated and yet the players look like they couldnt care less . Maybe its time the fans stopped caring

  7. Kobbie has missed a lot of the seasons so far with injury and thinks he made it already. Hes 20 and thinks he has to start at United. Yes the manager saying hes competing with Bruno isnt good but this shows as soon as theres a fight he doesnt want it.

  8. Mainoo’s is realistic and his attitude is good. He wants to play! He doesn’t want to sit on a bench. Yes you want fighters but he isn’t throwing his toys out of the pram when he says it. He’s actually being honest and not posting pics on social media to stir things up. If he stays, he’ll fight but if there’s a chance he can get a loan, he wants it. There’s nothing wrong with asking. You’re way too quick to jump on him. He knows playing time is limited with Bruno. He’s not even rotation.

  9. Take the good and the bad … Flex fix up bro … you are being revisionist… listening for you to a bit now facts you’re on and off … Kobe is showing elements of the culture that got us in to this mess .. he needs to get his head down & do the work … Kenny is right.

  10. Amorim has pointed out flaws in Kobbies game he needs to fix them … and stay professional & humble work and deliver

  11. Can’t stand fans like that caller, they create a narrative about a player and go on everywhere with the nonesense as though it were true!
When has Kobbie’s attitude been the problem at the club? NEVER!
Where on earth did that mug get that from?

  12. WTF, a Scottish guy, supports Manchester United 😂😂😂😂😂
Stick to Celtic or Rangers,Jimmy 😂😂😂😂😂

  13. Poor Heaton is invisible 😆 even though Onana and Bayandir are awful 😂

  14. Majestic, as a Spurs fan (Along with O'Hara) needs to think before opening his mouth and joking about another team. No fan can laugh at another club unless they have had a run of good games and wins. Spurs win a game and all Spurs fans think they're back and can challenge for Europe and the tide has turned and HaHaHa at everyone else.
    Deluded! 🙄

  15. Just ignore Garnacho and Rashford passing the team news out the day before. Tbf that’s the only thing they did pass successfully last year
