MALIBU, Calif. – Pepperdine women’s golf sophomore Eunseo Choi earned Golfweek Preseason All-America Second Team honors, announced today by Golfweek Magazine.
The accolades continue for the Auckland, New Zealand native, as Choi was named to the ANNIKA Award Watch List earlier this week. She is also the lone athlete to make the Golfweek All-American list from a non-power four program.
“With so many talented players in women’s college golf, it is a well deserved honor for Eunseo to be selected to the Golfweek Preseason All-American Second Team,” said head coach Laurie Gibbs. “Everyone is working hard to prepare for our first tournament at the Annika Intercollegiate in ten days at the Royal Golf Club in Minnesota”.
Choi earned WCC Freshman of the Year following the 2024-25 campaign and helped the Waves reach their 26th consecutive NCAA Regional in her debut season at Pepperdine. Her summer was highlighted by a second place finish at the Canadian Women’s Amateur at The Riverside Country Club in Rothesay, N.B.
Choi was impressive down the stretch this past spring for the Waves, tying for ninth individually at the NCAA Lexington Regional with two rounds under par including a program record for low score at a regional with her second round 66.
Pepperdine will begin the season on Sept. 8-10 at the Annika Intercollegiate at the Royal Golf Club outside Minneapolis. The field of 12 teams includes multiple programs ranked inside the top-10 as the Waves will compete alongside elite competition from across the country.
