I am a Lions fan and a J.J. McCarthy fan. He was a joy to watch at Michigan. Wait until he plays with the #1's like Jefferson and Hohenstein.
Buckeye fan here. McCarthy is the real deal. Incredible pocket awareness and perfect quick release. He does t even need a “cannon” arm to make those passes because he is always exploiting the weakness in the defense.
His footwork is really fast. Which is super impressive. Gets to that 5,7 step drop back fast. If he can scan the field while dropping that fast the sky is the limit
