CHENEY, Wash. — Men’s golf is returning to Eastern Washington for the 2025-26 academic year and the team has its full schedule set. EWU will compete in nine regular season events, followed by their return to the Big Sky Championships in April of 2026.
The fall schedule begins on Sep. 8 at the Palouse Collegiate in Pullman, Wash. at the Gold Mountain Golf Course. The event ends on Sep. 10.
Continuing in the fall, the Eagles travel to The Tindall (Sep. 21-23) in Bremerton, Wash., followed by the Mark Simpson Invitational (Sep. 28-30) in Erie, Colo. and the Beaver Invitational (Oct. 13-15) in Salem, Ore.
Eastern returns to competition in February of 2026 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, hosted by Wyoming, in Palm Desert, Calif. at the Classic Club Golf Course.
The Eagles have a short road trip for its next tournament, traveling to Bandon, Ore. for the Bandon Dunes Championships, running from Mar. 8-10. The tournament is hosted by Idaho at the Bandon Dunes: Pacific Dunes Golf Course.
Eastern then drives to University Place, Wash. for the Redhawk Invitational from Mar. 30-31. Hosted by Seattle U, the two-day tournament will be played at the Chambers Bay Golf Course.
Closing out the regular season, EWU goes east for the Bluegrass Collegiate Invitational in Lexington, Ky. The final tournament runs from Apr. 13-14 at the University Club of Kentucky Golf Course.
Moving to the postseason, the 2026 Big Sky Championships begin on Apr. 27, with the final round on Apr. 29. The championships will be played at the Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
Head coach Russell Grove looks to rapidly rebuild the EWU program after the sport was discontinued following the 2001-02 season.
Grove’s freshman class includes Callan Anderson, Charlie Gaffney and Kevin Wang. He strengthened his roster with transfers Jason Bustos, Trey LeCheminant, Lucas Hughes, Eli McNelly, Zach Miller, Hogan Park and Ethan Parker.
