TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s golf team, which earned a program-best third-place finish in the 2025 NCAA Championship Finals, is ranked No. 18 in the 2025-26 preseason poll by Golfweek. The Seminoles are one of six ACC teams ranked in the nation’s top 30 to begin the season.

The Seminoles enter head coach Amy Bond’s 16th season as one of only four teams in the nation – Florida State, Stanford, Texas, and Southern Cal – who have advanced to the NCAA Championship finals in each of the last nine seasons. Florida State has qualified for each NCAA Championship Finals tournament since 2016 (there was no tournament played in 2020). The Seminoles have played in the NCAA Tournament each year since 2011 – each of Bond’s 15 seasons at Florida State.

Bond is Florida State’s all-time winningest women’s golf coach with 28 tournament victories and 14 consecutive NCAA championship appearances.

“It’s always an honor to be ranked in the preseason,” said Bond. “We have a very young team with our oldest and most experienced players (Sophia Fullbrook, Alexandra Gazzoli, and Layla Pedrique) being sophomores. This group is very talented. We are looking for big things to come as each player will play a vital role in our success.”

Florida State opens its four-match 2025 fall season at the Folds of Honor Collegiate at the American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Mich, Sept. 8-10, 2025.

Florida State plays host to two of the top events in women’s college golf during the spring 2026 season – The Florida State Match Up (March 20-22) and the NCAA Tallahassee Regional Championship (May 11-13) – with both events being played at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club.
