Social media is buzzing with theories that President Donald Trump’s recent hand injury might impact his golf performance. Viral images of the 79-year-old have sparked curiosity and alarm.
During the weekend, pictures emerged online displaying what looked like cosmetics concealing his right hand, prompting many to suspect he was attempting to camouflage bruises or discoloration. It comes after POTUS offered some Ryder Cup advice to Keegan Bradley.
The matter initially surfaced in February this year, but fresh photographs have rekindled anxieties about Trump’s wellbeing. On Friday, as he exited the White House, it appeared he was using makeup to disguise the ongoing issue.
In July, the White House responded to the bruising on Trump’s hand. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt clarified that it resulted from regular handshakes.
“Recent photos of the president have shown minor bruising on the back of his hand. This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking… The president remains in excellent health,” the White House stated.
Trump has subsequently been diagnosed with a vein condition, triggering “growing” worry among golf fans about his future on the course, a pastime he juggles with his presidential duties.
This follows Trump’s confirmation of his intentions to attend this year’s Ryder Cup. Trump, a known golf enthusiast, typically fits in one or two rounds each weekend.
Yet, it remains unclear how he plans to maintain this routine given his hand condition. Despite apparent health issues, those who have witnessed him on the golf course are impressed by his abilities. Trump himself frequently boasts about his current records.
Recent data indicates that Trump has dedicated approximately 20% of his presidency to golf since resuming office on January 20, demonstrating his ongoing love for the sport.
