In this episode of DRIVE, we’re packing the bags and heading to Wisconsin to explore the hidden magic of Sand Valley — a golf trip that’s anything but ordinary. The excitement kicks in the moment we hit the road, and by the time we see that Sand Valley sign, we know we’re in for something special.
We start things off at the Sandbox, a 17-hole short course that’s all about creativity, camaraderie, and just plain fun. From there, it’s good food and great hangs at Bill’s Barbecue, a little downtime in the Mammoth Suite and cottages, and plenty of laughs at Craig’s Porch with $1 tacos, cold drinks, and unreal sunset views.

Of course, the golf is the star here here at Sand Valley, so we’re taking on the bold and wide-open Mammoth Dunes, the history-rich Lido, the rugged charm of Sedge Valley, and the original Sand Valley course that started it all. Each one has its own vibe, its own challenges, and its own stories to tell.

But what makes trips like this stick with you are the little things — long walks through the dunes, meals with friends, and those moments on the course that you end up retelling for years.

This one checked all the boxes: world-class golf, amazing food, and memories we won’t forget. This is DRIVE: Sand Valley.

  1. Just Wow! Fantastic fellas, I so enjoyed that and I would imagine you did too! Great vid as always 👏👏⛳️🏌‍♂️👍

  2. So with SV. being 2 hrs. from my back door and having played all the courses which one did you guys enjoy the most? Another awsome Drive post hopefully this format becomes the norm for Golficity..👍👍

  3. Fortunate enough to have been twice and it just keeps getting better. I could literally do this trip every year it’s that good! If you’re driving don’t sleep on the blueberry pancakes at Misty’s, about 15 minutes from SV. And Mike really knows how to dress a hotdog, mustard and onions! Well played, Sir!

  4. Very Tobacco Road feel. The accommodations at this place are 1st class from what you guys are showing. Next level. Another course to add to the wish list but a long ways from Tennessee. On another note. You guys put some of the best golf content on YouTube. Your videos of Caledonia and Tobacco Road gave me the best visual road maps of each course. You guys helped confirm my decision making and both courses exceeded my expectations. Good stuff fellas.

  5. What a special place and what a special experience you guys have built to share with us all. Golficity and Beyond! 🫡🇺🇸

  6. Absolutely loving the Drive series. This one was definitely a good one.

Congrats, Frank, on breaking par for the first time. That's an incredible feat.

Also, def keep those did reviews coming. It's one of those extra factors that really make a trip. It's nice to see they have affordable options for a quick bite.

Great job, fellas! And a big kudos to the photographers and editors for making it a great story to follow.

  7. when I finished up on 18 on the Sand Valley course…sunset in the background. I knew this was a special place.

  8. Was just there 2 weeks ago. Will absolutely be back. My favorite course was Sedge Valley. Every hole was unique. Just an unbelievable experience from top to bottom. The Lido is unlike any course I've ever played. The story/history is so cool. My group did Bandon in 2023 and we all agreed we'd probably do Sand Valley again before Bandon. Both awesome. Brandon's ocean views were special. But the overall experience at Sand Valley between the lodging (we did Mammoth Suite), food, golf, etc. was top notch. Our caddies were awesome too.

  9. One of the best golfing videos I have seen. Loved the way you concentrated on the golf course and the accommodations and the different food options rather than a shot by shot approach. Now I must plan a golfing trip to Sand Valley sometime next year.

  10. I was just there a few days ago with my dad-was staying at a nearby resort-did not play golf however, we went there just for the views and $1 tacos!!
