Tommy Fleetwood has finally achieved his first PGA Tour victory at the Tour Championship.
After 164 career starts, Fleetwood posted a 2-under 68 to finish 18 under, three strokes ahead of Russell Henley and Patrick Cantlay.
Fleetwood’s win earned him the FedEx Cup and $10 million.
The English golfer had previously won seven times on the DP World Tour and three other times around the world,
but had yet to lift a trophy in a PGA Tour event until now.
Fleetwood’s long wait was well worth it, and he becomes the first golfer to capture his first victory in the Tour Championship at East Lake.
World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler had trouble from the start and finished tied for fourth at 14 under.
Corey Conners and Cameron Young also tied for fourth.
The win marks a significant milestone in Fleetwood’s career, and he will look to build on this momentum in future tournaments.
