  1. NIL will be the undoing of college football along with being able to transfer every year if wanted. There are already signs that promises that have been made apparently haven’t been kept. What’s the sense of going into the NFL where the players are faster and bigger on every team you play in the chances of getting injured are greatly increased? if a player hangs around long enough and does well enough, he could be set for life without ever playing pro football, or should I say NFL football?

  2. 2006-2007 was legendary with both the football and basketball title. Campus got some nice upgrades after that. Tebow was a rock star in GNV

  3. I love it too because, as far as I understand it, the contracts are from third-parties and not the schools directly. (Though they certainly play a part and getting it organized and funneled to the players they want to sign).

Since it's 3rd party contracts, the coach can't just mess with the players money because he doesn't like them the way an NFL coach can with your salary and fines.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. 😅

  4. I remember seeing somewhere when Tebow was at UF, his jersey sold more than any other college or NFL jersey in America

  5. This list of players who woulda benefitted the most if NIL woulda been in 2000s. And estimated amount acc. to todays market.

(based on highest paid Sheduer sanders [$6 Mil] and his popularity compared to past players n what they would generate)

    1. Tebow- $10-12 Million per season
    2. Reggie Bush- $10-12 Million
    3. Cam newton- $ 9-10 million
    4. RG3- $8-9 million
    5. Johnny Manziel- $8-9 million
    6. Jameis Winston- $8-9 million
    7. Vince young- $ 7-9 mil (more if stayed another year)
    8. Deshaun Watson- $6-9 mil
    9. Adrian Peterson- $ 6-7 mil
    10. Matt leinart- $ 6-7 mil
    Colt McCoy $ 4-6 mil
    – Ndamukong Suh- $4-6 mil
    – Tyrann Mathieu- $ 4-6 mil

  6. I mean he ain't lying. At the VERY least they should have been getting payed for being used in video games over the years.

  7. Not a lie tips Channing! Tebow was Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan combined in Gainesville. I remember going to the gator walk and girls used to cry when he walked through. And he had massive security. All you saw was #15 jerseys

  8. Athlete's get free education, but they should have always made money autographing things.
Nick Saban made millions coaching in college, but he hates the NIL.

  9. Im with him being in Florida and now they paying the high school kids i was a top lift hand QB and the best ball player in high school just had no money n support so just imagine what that money would have did for me

  10. It's always funny we always hear how about the 2 BCS Championships at Florida. People do realize that the BCS Championship in 2006, Tebow was the backup QB to Chris Leak. Chris Leak was the MVP of the BCS game!

  11. That's why it pisses me COMPLETELY off that Nick Saban has been lobbing for Donald Trump, WHO'S A FREAKING SPORTS GUY, to change how college athletes, especially football players are getting paid. Do your research on how much freaking money Alabama GAVE Saban, not paid him… gave him. It doesn't take a damn brain surgeon to know why so many people are against NIL & I'm going to leave it at that.

  12. The list could go on for awhile…Charlie Ward, Eric Crouch, Matt Leinart. Channing is absolutely correct. This is why I like the NIL deal setup BUT it does need some checks and balances.

  13. I HATE NIL like there’s just no good reason why a college student should make more than a professional plus they spend it on stupid stuff

  14. National Basketball 🏀 Champs from UCLA Charles O'Bannon and Ed O'Bannon played a pivotal role for getting the NIL ball rolling. Any college athlete getting paid today or in the future owe those two guys big time. If you don't know how we got here, just look them up!
