My clubs are nearly older than her and don’t have this wear. I’ll probably never beat her again.

That is from MARCH? Congrats on early retirement. In all seriousness, what is her scoring like?

  2. Mediocre_Insurance21

Geez, how often does she play/practice?

This is the dream right here. Getting absolutely smoked by your kids. That’s beautiful, man. Congrats!

Wow she tanked the resale value.

I’ve had my irons and wedges for 2 years and the sweet spots look like new still!

Does she offer lessons cause she pures that thing

I’m getting my 5 yr old daughter her first set of clubs this Christmas and I hope her clubs look like this by 14. I can’t imagine anything better then my little girl beating the hell out of mr on the course lol.

Welp, this was awfully humbling 😂

Does she play or practice where the subsurface has larger dirt/sand particles than you do? Extra sandy range tee, maybe?

Those are good signs. 1) she’s putting in work 2) she’s hitting the clubs in the right spot.

Keep up the good work Dad!

Wait, you’re supposed to have wear marks in the center?

    :cries:

Awesome to see though, bright future ahead of her!

My wear pattern is the inverse of that! 🙂

How much does she practice? That’s a ton of wear.

I used a set of irons for 10 years that didn’t wear this bad. But I cleaned the face and grooves after every single shot, even at the range. This much wear is from not cleaning the clubs.

Does she clean and dry the clubs off? My irons don’t looks like that after 10 years of use

Looks like yall play in very sandy conditions. That’s the one downside to a forged iron is the sand eats them up. I would look into stainless steel maybe for next set. Hard to beat that forged feel tho.

Looks like she’s a very good ball striker for her age. Shes gonna be a very good player.

How do people get any wear marks so quickly? I play 3x a week and my clubs faces don’t lose colour after multiple seasons.

One thing that may help for someone practicing that much (a lot of tour pros do this) – is to have a “practice” wedge and a “playing” wedge of the same model.

That way you are not constantly wearing out the grooves and having the replace the wedge you play with.

Also congrats – shooting low 80s from 6000 yards as a 14yo is super impressive.

What state are you in? I work for a state golf association and might be able to help with connections and support.

Nothing personal, but I hate your 14 year old daughter! 😂 That’s actually pretty awesome that she puts in enough work to wear out clubs like that!

  21. Reading through comments and your replies to people., that is all awesome. A parent that puts in the time, energy, and finances to support their child’s interest. Good for you OP. Keep up the excellent parenting. She is going places 👍🏼

Personally I like to keep my grooves factory fresh by playing primarily off the toe of the club. Different folks different strokes
