Relive the thrilling conclusion of the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush as Scottie Scheffler etched his name into golf history with a commanding victory. After entering the final round with a four-shot lead, Scheffler held off a surging field to secure his first Claret Jug and third major championship overall. Despite a stumble with a double bogey on the 8th hole, Scheffler bounced back with a composed back nine and finished with a 3-under 68 to close out a wire-to-wire win at 17-under par. Royal Portrush tested the field with tough conditions and dramatic turns, but Scheffler’s composure and consistency prevailed.
The final round featured several strong charges, including Harris English and Chris Gotterup, who tied for second place with steady Sunday performances. Rory McIlroy thrilled the home crowd with a gutsy effort, briefly pulling within one shot of the lead before faltering on the back nine. Bryson DeChambeau fired the lowest round of the day—a 7-under 64—to climb up the leaderboard and into the top 10. With packed galleries, blustery weather, and world-class shot-making, the 2025 Open Championship delivered drama to the final hole.

He will go down as the greatest
Congratulations Scotti
Mir würde alleine reichen ansatzweise wie Scottie putten zu können. Den rest brauche ich gar nicht. Nur das Putten🙏
need some illegal immigrants in the gallery
His swing timing is a work of art.
Your title gives away the end.
Massive respect to Bryson for sticking with a 78 and still hammering up the leaderboard and not just quitting!
Whomever does your thumbnails is an idiot.
The "Get in the hole!" morons were out in force.
Better highlights than the tour themselves.
YAWN …..
Bryson, keep it up man 👍🏻
Can't respect a crybaby after saying, "it's no fun anynore". Just days ago.
gen.o.cide….?? sponsoring what gen.o.cide??
you yanks sure are something else……
4 Americans top the leaderboard which does not augur well for Ryder cup if benign conditions😮 Some amazing golf player at British open😊
Scheffler is in a class of his own at the moment but the fight back by Bryson deserves praise as well.
I hope he’s found fulfilment now….coz, really, what’s the point??
Whinges less than a week ago and wins. Scottie is just a boring golf player and what makes it worse is that his still number 1. His golf is like a monsoon, slow moving depression
For Bryson to come home so far under par after being 7 over on the first round, huge respect
How can you hate on Bryson or Scottie????
Well done, Scottie! A true #1 in the world.
Also, it would be more a true reflection on sheer grit and professionalism, seeing the efforts of Bryson compared to blowing smoke up Rory's arse on attitude when things don't go your way.
Love seeing real competitors. Just posted something on Koepka’s rise — insane trajectory. 👊
bryson played 16 under after shooting 78 on thursday. that hurts to think that he couldve easily been alongside scheffler if he even shot par on thursday
If Bryson had scored 66 on the first day, which is the average of the other 3 rounds, he'd have been 21 under.
Enough with giving the Liv players coverage. They made their choice to turn their backs on the PGA and don’t deserve any highlights.
