BLACKLICK, Ohio (WSYX) — It was a day of purpose, unity, and impact on the greens.

The 100 Black Men of Central Ohio organization hosted its “Day on the Greens” celebrity golf outing on Monday, August 25, at the Jefferson Golf & Country Club. The event brought together community leaders, athletes, and supporters for a powerful cause, expanding access to mental health education.

This year’s event was co-chaired by former Columbus Mayor Michael B. Coleman and Ohio State Athletics Hall of Famer and two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin.

The golf outing is part of the organization’s continued mission to empower and uplift the community through education, mentorship, and health initiatives, with a focus this year on mental wellness.

Organizers told ABC 6 that the event is just the beginning of a broader movement to open more doors for mental health awareness and access in communities that need it most.
