The 2025 US Open runs from August 18 – September 7 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 145th time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka claimed the men’s and women’s singles titles. It was both Sinner and Sabalenka’s first US Open title and third Grand Slam title. This year, at the US Open, we’re set for another spectacular tournament as the world’s best tennis players head to New York.   1. This format is not it. It devalues the content and context of a Grand Slam Championship title. Stick to the traditional setup please. It is not compulsory to force top players to play mixed competitive doubles. This would have been fine as a pre-tournament exhibition. Wow. Revert to traditional play next year.

  2. As much as it is fun to watch, it feels more like an exhibition match. I really hope they do it as an exhibition, and provide an opportunity for actual doubles players.

  3. No free points from Raducanu off serve, no free points off return, no free points off her net game. What was she even there for? To look pretty and smile

  4. You can really tell players that have played some doubles. Poor Carlos and Emma were out of place so many times and the unforced errors were out of the ordinary. Fun to watch nonetheless.

  5. I wonder how much extra ground they cover fist-bumping and high-fiving each other after every point. Even the ones they lose. Seems a bit pointless. Pun intended….
