Sharing my completed build, which took inspiration from many of you in this sub. It has really helped to read about everyones unique spaces and ideas, so thanks to everyone here!

I'm a lifelong golfer, but with young kids I wasn't even getting to the range, and only took out my clubs once last year. This setup was my plan to get my swing back, and I've been loving it. I find time to practice about 2-3 times per week now.

I pretty much stick to the skytrak range for practice, though I am considering adding GS Pro.

Here's the build details:

Net
Archery baffle
Track system
Standing mat
Hitting strip
Stall mats (cut to size below – one of these, 2 layers of these)
Skytrak+ (from 2nd swing)
TV mount
4K tv
Keyboard

Total cost $3,311

For the Skytrak+ connection to the TV, I have an old NVIDIA Shield mounted next to it, which picks up wifi from an access point inside the house at about 40-60mbps. I have the Skytrak software running on a gaming PC in my basement, which streams to the Shield using Sunshine/Moonlight. It's very fast, probably 20s from turning on the TV to seeing the desktop on screen. One recommendation I have is to set a static IP on your router for the Skytrak+ itself. I have it running in network mode and it doesn't miss shots or disconnect.

I'm happy to answer any questions, and thanks for all the ideas that brought this together.

  1. Looks great! I’m thinking about doing something similar soon. I love the tracks for the netting.
