  1. I don't think this was a moment such as calling one of one's kids by one of the siblings names. It sounded like the announcer had not watched 10 minutes of golf in his life before today and honestly had no idea who Scottie was. I thought it was pretty weak. There's only 30 players in this event. If there were any questions regarding pronunciation, clean that up before showtime.

  2. Biggest mistake was saying Gold Medalist instead of Olympic Gold Medalist. I mean, golf has become the most boring sport by miles and miles. This announcer brought some attention and levity to a sport that is in need of both. Not that it matters, but the guy is a lock to be black. Sounds black. Doesn't matter at all, just an observation. The guy on the Arby's commercial everything thinks is James Earl Jones, but it is Ving Rhames (probably screwed up the spelling there). Condaleeza Rice is a joke, as well. She shows up everywhere. Tiger did not bring in more blacks. It is a privileged game. Most all of the pros need rich parents. I was scrolling through the US Amateur results last week. I noticed that in the top 100 there were two names I recognized from my hometown. Of course they were both from my hometown, and were the offspring of the richest families in the whole area. No biggie, but if you want to know who the best golfers are in any town, just start with the richest families and work down from there. It is just math. Golfy sucky ducky love you long time. Long duc dong.

  3. Wow!! So much anger about this mispronunciation. It’s comforting to know that each person who is using their keyboard to voice their displeasure about this error, did the same when someone with more authority than a starter repeatedly mispronounced the previous VP of the United State’s name. G’day mates!

  4. Announcer has no clue about golf lol. You can tell by his voice the reason he was hired. Pretty funny who this is being exposed all over now

  5. I believe the same announcer yesterday said Rory was from Holywood , North Ireland . It is Northern Ireland .
