TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – A four-year-old has drowned in Atwood Lake in Tuscarawas County while his father is still missing.
Rangers responded to an Amish woman crashing a golf cart with three of her children into the lake about 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Two children, 15 and 18 years old, got out of the water but rescuers discovered the four-year-old boy in the lake after an 8-hour search.
Rangers say the crash looked intentional, and the woman is currently hospitalized with mental health concerns.
The Holmes County family was visiting the lake for the weekend.
