Recently got the mevo gen 2, and I can’t seem to figure out if I’m setting it up wrong. All of my clubs seem like they’re at least 20+ yards short inside. I’ve attached 7 iron shots inside vs outside for comparison. I even tried swinging as hard as I realistically could while inside but I come up short.

Indoor I’m using rct balls, have it set to indoor short mode, ball is 8ft from target and flies about 11ft into the net

I have mevo plus and feel the exact same, couldn’t tell you what’s happening though

Are you hitting on grass outside? Maybe you hold off when hitting off a mat?

It’s really hard to hit at the same distance indoors as out. It takes time. Make sure to think “ wide arc” when swinging indoors because I find it’s very easy to change your indoor swing to be more narrow.

You’re swinging 6mph slower inside. Seems like indoor golf syndrom.

Also interesting to see your far right indoor stat. I believe that says spin in the 2,000 rpm range which is kind of impossible with a 7i and that ball flight. Not sure what happened there

My advice would be to just keep swinging. I struggled with this as well for weeks when I first got my setup.

Look at club speed numbers. It’s 6mph faster outside vs inside, not saying it’s conclusive but I’d try to get that to matchup better and see the results.

Usually, it’s longer indoors. Radar based units can be very tricky to setup accurately indoors as well.

As others have said, ballspeed is king. They are essentially the same speed indoor and outdoor, so something else is happening with the read inside.

Where do you live, specifically elevation? Make sure your sim is set to the same elevation numbers as where you play, they usually come set to sea level out of the box.

Also if you have thick turf and are a divot player, hitting behind the ball can take a lot of your speed before you hit the ball, while you might just go right through real grass and not notice outdoors

I’ve hit inside and outside at a range with my r50. When I’m outside in the sun I swing faster, my body is loose. I also feel like the range mat outside has better traction vs the one I have in my garage. Smash factor is roughly the same although I can notice a slightly pop outside if its hot.

I am using a cheap turf mat right now for hitting inside. Could that affect it at all?

I’m having a similar issue with my mevo+. Interested in what you find out.

103 mph ball speed is quite slow for a 7 iron. If expect that to carry 130-135ish.

My wedge is 100-103 BS and carries 130ish. To carry it close to 150 you’d need at least 110 BS

probably got a little flinch from the crap mat, buy a nice hitting strip you aren’t afraid of blasting your arms off of and you should be fine with irons. make it level to your stance standing on some gym mats. driver is usually where people get funky indoor cause of the length. bum a gc3 off someone, its soooooooooo accurate with no drama. plop it down and hit (for a sanity check)
