Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers beat Majesticks GC 2-1, with the captain himself overcoming Lee Westwood 4-and-2 before the tie was wrapped up by the alternate-shot (foursomes) pairing of Paul Casey and Charles Howell III, who beat Ian Poulter and Henrik Stenson 5-and-4.

Legion XIII, who dominated the regular season, beat Cleeks Golf Club 2-1 in another match that was also decided on the concluding foursomes after their captain, Jon Rahm, was beaten 2-and-1 by Adrian Meronk.

Tom McKibbin and Caleb Surratt edged Martin Kaymer and Frederik Kjettrup 2-and 1 from being all square with three holes to play.

Phil Mickelson’s HyFlyers swept Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs 3-0 and Joaquin Niemann’s Torque got past Bubba Watson’s RangeGoats 2-1.

The match with the biggest winning margin settled the score between Smash and 4Aces when Graeme McDowell and Jason Kokrak thrashed Thomas Pieters and Harold Varner III 6-and-5.

And finally Stinger GC got past Ripper GC 2-1 after Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen overturned a 2-hole deficit and won six out of eight holes from the 6th to secure a 4-and-3 victory over Marc Leishman and Matt Jones.

The six winners go through to Saturday’s Champions Bracket semi-finals, while the defeated teams will compete for places 7-12 in the Rankings Bracket
