I’ve been seeing more retractable simulators so I thought I’d share my janky little garage setup as well. I’m open to any suggestions for any improvement as well.
Screen: Raw Poly Spacer 12×10 (made wide stitch it up lol)
Roller Assembly: AOK AM50 Heavy Duty Roller Motor with remote control, 2” roller tube.
Projector: Optoma EH200ST
PC GPU: RTX 3070ti
Launch Monitor: Square
Biggest Mistake: used a 1/2 emt to weigh down the screen thinking I would never hit it straight. I did and missed my face by a couple of inches, lol. I replaced it with a 2.5” Manila Rope and it’s been working really good so far and the bounce back is minimal.
