ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – 144 people hit the course today for the first ever Bullfrog Open Charity Golf Tournament.
Golfers took a swing at 18 holes to raise money for the Jeremiah Program in Rochester.
At each hole, participants got to take part in a twist or a contest to make the game even more memorable.
Golfers had the chance to play corn hole, see who had the longest drive or even try to hit a hole in one.
Before the event started $30,000 in donations were collected from sponsorships alone with the goal of $50,000 after an auction.
Ally Hanten Ebert is the executive director of the Jeremiah Program in Rochester. She said the event sold out and the support from the community helps with the organization’s mission.
“I have said for a long time that our mission is one that is never going to be done alone,” she said. “The fact that our community continues to show up to support the mission is just an honor to be a part of.”
In December, the Jeremiah Program will have a “lady’s night” out at the Chateau Hotel. For more information you can visit the organization’s website.
