EL DORADO – The Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout, presented by Coca-Cola and Monster Energy, is returning to the Mystic Creek Golf Course for its 10th annual tournament Sept. 19-21. Top female golfers from around the world will compete for a $300,000 purse on one of Arkansas’s premier golf courses.

“Reaching our 10th year is a proud milestone for the El Dorado Shootout. Over the past decade, we’ve watched the tournament grow in stature, drawing some of the most talented up-and-coming golfers in the world,” said Tournament Director Don Miller. “These women are competing for a spot on the LPGA Tour, and the level of play they bring to El Dorado is truly remarkable. Mystic Creek continues to challenge and inspire these athletes with its demanding layout and stunning setting, making it the perfect stage for a world-class event.”

As an official qualifying tour of the LPGA, the Epson Tour helps prepare the next generation of professional golfers for the highest level of competition. Mystic Creek, named one of Arkansas’s best courses by Golfweek, has become a favorite stop on the tour.

Organizers of the 10th annual Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout are now accepting applications for on-site volunteers and host families during tournament week. When the golfers are on the course, on-site volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring the tournament’s success, with opportunities beginning Sept. 17 for the Pro-Am and continuing through the final round on Sept. 21. Roles include cart drivers, marshals, spotters, among other critical support positions. No golf experience is necessary, and all volunteers who sign up by the Aug. 22 deadline will receive an official tournament polo shirt and meals during their shifts. Those interested in volunteering can visit eldoradoshootout.com/volunteers or email [email protected].

A staple of the tournament, host families provide accommodations for players traveling to El Dorado. Hosts are asked to open their homes beginning Monday, Sept. 17, so golfers have time to acclimate and practice. Tournament regulations require host homes to be located within a 45-mile radius of Mystic Creek Golf Course. Families are not required to provide meals, although players are always thankful for the hospitality. Those interested in hosting a player can learn more at eldoradoshootout.com/host-a-player or by emailing [email protected] by Sept. 1.

“Our volunteers and host families have been the backbone of the El Dorado Shootout since year one, creating a welcoming environment for these incredible athletes,” Miller said. “It’s also a great opportunity for high school students looking to earn community service hours. Every contribution helps make the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone involved.”

Along with a high-caliber event, the El Dorado Shootout is deeply rooted in giving back, donating more than $240,000 to charitable organizations since its founding. In 2025, the tournament continues its focus on women’s health by supporting three nonprofit organizations making a meaningful difference in the fight against breast cancer: the #teamcorrie Cancer Foundation, the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute and the South Arkansas Regional Hospital Foundation. All three partners will be presented with checks during the tournament’s closing ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 21. “What makes this tournament truly special, outside of seeing some of the top female golfers in the world, is the opportunity to support organizations dedicated to women’s health, especially in the fight against breast cancer,” said Miller. “This year’s charity beneficiaries play a vital role in care, research, and community support for women right here in South Arkansas.”

Tournament week will begin Monday, Sept. 15 and includes a free junior golf clinic. Round 1 of Tournament Play begins Friday, Sept. 19 at 7:30 a.m. Thanks to the support of Boston Consulting Group, admission to the tournament is free.
