  1. I think Scottie will have a legacy for sure if he keeps performing the way he has.
Like Nicklaus has said, “You have to keep climbing the mountain.”

  2. The time to compare one player against another is at the end of their careers. Tiger was early out of the gate; it took Scottie longer to get to where he is playing every bit as good as what Tiger was when he was at his best. Tiger suffered long breaks in his career due to injuries. If Scottie remains injury-free, there is a good chance that he will catch Tiger. We will have to wait until Scottie is in his 40s, and then you can make comparisons.

  3. Scottie appears to be suffering from Imposter Syndrome or is much too modest; because he is very comparable to Tiger at the moment.

  4. Scottie has a great way of putting things, and his ego doesn't get in his way. Two wonderful things to have.

  5. Scheffler has finished in the top 8, with 5 victories, his last 13 tournaments. That includes 2 wins in majors. For some perspective, even Tiger can't claim more the 10 straight tournaments with top 10 finishes.

He has 17 wins, including 4 majors in less than 3 seasons. No one has won like that since Tiger.

He's been the world #1 for 3 years, mostly by a landslide. Scheffler already has the 3rd most weeks at #1 all time. He surpassed Rory's career total about 35 weeks ago. Even if Scheffler doesn't tee up a single tournament in 6 months, he's still easily #1 in the world golf rankings.

He can be humble and he's a long way from Tiger and Jack, but this guy is closer to those 2 immortals than anyone I've ever seen.

We are witnessing greatness, week in and week out. Let's not pretend it isn't true because the endorsements and media buzz aren't in a frenzy.

  6. These reporters are as dumb as a bag of hammers. Scottie said that in Scotties way. Reporters should go back to reporter school and learn the game. That’s just insulting to Scottie and Tiger at the same time.

  7. Leave the man alone. How many questions are aimed at helping Scottie Scheffler in any way? None…zero. These are all questions asked by some "reporter" who is looking to be the next Ken Venturi or Jim Nantz. If these "reporters" were as good at their job as Scottie Scheffler is at his, they would never consider asking the trivial claptrap they do. They would know they don't have to.

  8. This guy has humility, talent, work ethic, not much of an ego, and a lot of good intangibles. This is a scary combination. If Scheffler can just keep at it the way he now is, I think he will go down as an all-time great. The Tiger Woods comparison might be justified once his career is over.

  9. Scottie's observation about Tiger is spot on. I got to watch Tiger up close 3 times and his mental focus was off the charts. Once at the Canadian Open we waited at the 10th tee on the Thursday round about 3 holes before he got there. That was the only way to get close because so many people were following him. You had to jump ahead and wait and many other people did the same thing. Well when he was walking up between the ropes it was all lined up 10 deep and people were screaming and yelling. It was like they weren't even there for Tiger and as he got to bag as Stevie had already walked ahead of him and set it down he kicked it in disgust as he had bogeyed the 9th hole. He was doing it to motivate himself. That is how intense Tiger was on a Thursday. Scottie is a very smart and intelligent guy and after watching him chip in on the 17th at the BMW he said it was a result of being in the moment and being very mentally focused. Exactly what he learned from Tiger that one time he played with him. Very interesting!!!!

  10. Sorry but he’s no Tiger nor Nicklaus yet. Since he turned pro 7 years ago he won 4 majors, Tiger for the same 7 years since he turned pro in 1996, 8 majors and Jack for the same 7 years 7 majors.

  11. Scottie is having a historic run , but so did Rory, Jordan Spieth, Brooks Kepka , Tiger has a multi decade run. I think Scottie has what it takes to come close, perhaps 3rd best all time. Possibly second.

  12. Scottie won the US Jr Amateur once which was an incredible feat. Tiger won the US Jr Amateur three times then followed it up with three straight US Men's Amateurs. Stop it with the comparisons. Two things are true 1) Scottie is incredible and 2) He is nowhere close to being worthy of these comparisons.

  13. Definitely a realist and extremely humble. anyone who plays golf knows that’s a foolish comparison that Is you might be able to compare single seasons against each other but big picture he’s got a lot of work to do before he can be mentioned in the same breath as Tiger he needs a dozen more majors and would need to maintain #1 in the world for another decade and accumulate 70 more wins give or take and he’s right the talent pool gets deeper and deeper because Tiger made it cool to play golf so now you’re seeing athletes who would’ve been traditionally drawn towards sports like baseball or basketball take up golf instead also the influence he has had on the game globally isn’t something that will ever be replicated just another feather in tigers cap not saying he won’t do it but it’s highly unlikely he can maintain this pace and I hope he proves me wrong but we’ve seen several superstars go on ridiculous runs for a couple years then fizzle out like Rory, Jordan Spieth, and brooks koepka I hope he proves me wrong chances are he won though I don’t think we will ever see another Jack or Tiger

  14. Come on man! I luv scottie fs but let him win at least 10 more majors b4 we even start the tiger conversation ple

  15. Love the respect from Scottie. When the GOAT conversation happens comparing Tiger and Jack, most go to just the number of Majors. But IMO Tiger’s total number of wins and winning percentage is the difference.

  16. By the time Tiger was 28 the same age as scotty, he had won double the amount of majors and more than double amount of PGA tour wins, hes not comparable

  17. These guys make too much money now and their lives are under too much scrutiny for it to ever make sense to grind the amount of time it takes to achieve what Tiger did. Only someone psychotic would make that type of sacrifice.

  18. When I watch him play I really can't warm to him at all. He seems to have no personality and is completely uninteresting and perhaps I've just discovered why that is. You can't deny he's a fantastic golfer and also appears to be a very humble and decent man … maybe I'll change my perception of him now, like he gives a crap about my perception of him. I bet he get's really tired of the same ridiculous questions though

  19. scottie is great, he always answers great, I hope the interviewers think of better questions when they have his attention

  20. Scottie is no one else but Scottie. Tiger was cut short and he was disappointed that he didn’t surpass Jacks major wins. Everyone has their own path, Scottie is the bar now for players, but we know now what is most important to him, his family.

  21. Most, if not all, of this comparison and hype is unfortunately being generated by the american media/channels. I watch a lot of PGA golf and every tournament that Scotty plays in they are constantly hyping him up, pushing and promoting his stats, comparing him to past legends, while downplaying the other competitors and their chances of winning. Its really gotten out of control. The american sports channels are so desperate for another "golfing god" since Tiger, that they just cant stop. Scotty definitely is not Tiger, nor his he the GOAT..at least not yet. If he can stay healthy and focused, and has a long enough career, then he just may shatter a few or many records. Comparing him to Woods, or any other golfing legend at this point of his career is just ridiculous and is only being done to boost/maintain interest and viewership. Woods and Scheffler play 2 totally different styles of golf. From a fan perspective, Tiger was/is definitely more interesting/enjoyable to watch than Scotty as he plays a much more aggressive game and is willing to take chances which Scotty would never do. This is more attractive and creates higher viewership. You know Scotty is just going to plod along and play a conservative almost boring type of game. No issues there, it works for him, however fans want to see those crazy, low percentage, go for it shots that made Tiger such a joy to watch. Not saying Scheffler is not great, as he is worlds # 1 right now..however I just dont think he creates the type of fear from other competitors that Tiger did in his prime. Knowing the way Scotty is, pretty sure he is just fine playing within his own shell and really could care less about all this media generated hype. Glad he cleared the air.

  22. I think we need to stop comparing Tiger and Jack for sure. Look at the level of competition each was playing against. Jack was playing against a bunch of rich, white country club guys. The game was much more international during Tiger’s run (and some of it was BECAUSE of Tiger’s run). The talent pool was much deeper and made the competition much greater as a result. Tiger would have won 40 majors if he was playing during Jack’s era and I’m not even joking.

  23. Tiger Woods won the U.S. Open by 15 strokes one year. 15 strokes. Wake me up when Scottie achieves that level of total dominance over the field.

  24. Scottie might pass Tiger. But that will take years. He is like early Tiger. A bunch of wannabees who fade under pressure behind both guys. Nicklaus had Player (9) majors, Palmer (8) majors, Casper(3) majors, Trevino(6) majors, Watson (8) majors, Miller (3) majors and Seve(4) majors. That is a helluva lot of major wins grabbing at Jack's throat. Scottie just needs to post a good score and wait for the others to fall by the wayside.

  25. Tiger won 82 PGA events vs Scottie 18. Socttie played 7 years of professional golf and maybe has 15 years left. I doubt he will win 82.

  26. Thank you for this very informative video. During periods of economic instability, gold and silver have gained a reputation for their reliability. However, it's crucial not to underestimate the importance of cryptocurrencies, which bring forth unique opportunities such as liquidity, continuous market accessibility, and the potential for substantial profits. As our financial landscape undergoes its digital transformation, crypto presents a distinctive investment terrain not bound by traditional market forces. In a world filled with economic uncertainties, crypto assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum serve as a hedge against inflation and a fresh avenue for portfolio diversification. Personally, I've reaped the benefits of adhering to Marcus Padley trading strategies, accumulating 21 b tc in a brief two-month span, a testament to her expertise.
