For anyone that didn’t see from the weekend, this is the alignment marker that Justin Rose was using on his Scotty Cameron
.
Obviously they did a better job of it than I did in the Scotty tour truck but never the less I wanted to give it a go to see what it looked like at address
.
This is what I like about a blank head with no alignment on is that you can experiment with different ideas to see which one suits your eye the best on that particular head and then get it either milled on at a later date or just play with it with sharpie drawn on as it’s legal to do so
.
I would always recommend that once you find what you like it’s a good idea to get it milled on or even drawn on professionally as it’s quite easy to be just a degree out and that one degree can throw a lot of putts offline
.
Even if it looks straight it might not actually be and then you could very well start to doubt yourself about it as well
.
I do like the look of this alignment it looks good behind the ball. Justin is known for trying out of the ordinary putters and set ups so it’s always interesting to see what he’s seeing when setting up to the ball
