Is this correct hip movement, they are decently open at impact but is that an illusion?

Not an illusion. I like how your lead hip is getting taller and your trail hip lowers. This is proper hip action. Puts you in a position to clear and extend the pelvis. Keep doing what you are doing, you can see your lead hip before impact, and that is the goal. Just hang on an extend that pelvis from here.

Been using that net for shotgun target practice?

  3. Hips and lower body look perfect. I would leave that where it is. The only small issue I see in your swing is an inside takeaway followed by a slight over the top move at the top when you transition to the downswing. A good drill is the preset drill. Line up for the shot, then start taking the club back until it is parallel to the ground. The shaft should be in line with your feet at this point and wrists should be almost fully set. Then swing from there. So it’s like the pause drill but you pause at shaft parallel. You should see the swing path in the downswing go inside or in line with your path in the takeaway. It’s hard to see without lines, but you can see your club goes inside and then comes over that line in the downswing. Your downswing looks good, but a bad takeaway can make consistency hard. It’s not a huge swing flaw in my opinion, but it can definitely help if you want a buttery swing. I had the exact same looking swing and that drill really helped fix it for me.

OK what’d you do to change? I need the secret. This is my number one spot of struggling.
