The Colonial Country Club in Lower Paxton Township has updated its facility over the last few years, spending more than $1 million on renovations since 2023.
The updates include everything from renovated space to new equipment.
Work on the club’s outdoor banquet space will be completed by the end of this month.
In July, the club received a new golf cart fleet and a beverage cart.
In February, the club got new course maintenance equipment, including a rough mower, a greens mower, and a greens roller.
Last year, the club added some loungers, umbrellas, tables and chairs; private cabanas; a splash pad; an outdoor patio/dining/relaxation area, furniture, and fire pits. It also expanded its bar and added a multi-age playground and Kid Zone.
In 2023, the Squires Restaurant and Pub was remodeled with furniture, flooring, and lighting upgrades. The men’s locker room was also remodeled that year and now has a card room and a pool table.
In addition, over the last few years, there have been new roof installations and HVAC upgrades to many areas at the club, including the ballroom.
The club has a golf course, tennis and pickleball courts, a swimming pool and splash pad area, and membership events.
The Triple Crown Corporation, which is owned by the DiSanto family, previously redeveloped the Blue Ridge County Club into Blue Ridge Village. That club was also on Linglestown Road. But owner Mark DiSanto said in a statement that there are no plans to redevelop the Colonial Country Club.
“The DiSanto Family wants to assure our valued members and the broader community that our commitment to Colonial Country Club’s vibrant future is unwavering. This club is more than just a property; it is a legacy and a cornerstone of our community. There are no plans, nor are there any contemplated in the future, to develop the golf course land. Our dedication is entirely directed towards enhancing every aspect of the club experience and ensuring its lasting legacy and success.”
The club, which is 115 years old, is located at 4901 Linglestown Road. It has been at that location since 1954. The DiSanto family purchased the club in 2009 after it went to a sheriff’s sale that year, and no one placed a bid on the property.
Another country club in the region also recently announced plans for renovations. The new owners of the Carlisle Country Club in Middlesex Township plan a multi-million-dollar renovation project.
