Charlie Woods has undergone a major transformation as he continues to follow in his famous father’s footsteps.
The 16-year-old son of golf legend Tiger Woods is used to spending time in the limelight, making his debut at the PNC Championship at age 11.
But five years later, the prodigy is set to take his game to the next level as he enters his junior year at the prestigious Benjamin School.
After a summer of grinding away on the fairways – which saw him claim the American Junior Golf Association title at the TaylorMade Invitational – the rising star has caught the attention around the sport.
His high school coach, Toby Harbeck, has shed light on Charlie’s hard work, which includes a drastic 10-pound weight loss.
‘Charlie knows a lot of the attention is going to be on him and he knows not to put himself in an uncomfortable position, but his teammates are protective of him,’ the Benjamin Buccaneers coach told the Palm Beach Post.

‘Charlie has come a long way in two years. He’s lost 10 pounds and is ready to take on that No. 1 role.’
Charlie is heading into his junior year at the exclusive $37k-a-year high school in Palm Beach, where Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump, is also a senior.
Charlie’s father went public with his romance with Kai’s mom Vanessa, the ex-wide of Donald Trump Jr., earlier this year.
Both Charlie and Kai competed at the illustrious Junior Invitational golf tournament at Sage Valley in South Carolina earlier this year. Kai finished rock-bottom after suffering an opening round meltdown, while Charlie failed to claw his way up the leaderboard.
Charlie also missed the cut at the US Junior Amateur this summer as dad Tiger watched on but managed to bounce back with a ninth-place finish at the Junior PGA Championships at the end of last month.
The 15-time major winner has frequently been spotted supporting his son at tournaments alongside his ex-wife Elin.
Harbeck, who has also coached Jack Nicklaus’ sons Gary and Michael, added: ‘When Tiger and Elin show up to watch, Tiger is a different person than what you see on TV. Just like Jack [Nicklaus] was.’

Charlie saw his chances of qualifying for the Junior Ryder Cup snatched away at the Junior PGA Championships.
He needed to finish first or second in Indiana to secure himself a spot on Team USA in next month’s event at at Nassau Country Club and Bethpage Black.
And he was well-poised, sitting second on the leaderboard heading into the final round. But the teen shot a three-over-par 74 in Friday’s final round which saw him finish in a tie for ninth.
However, Charlie and Harbeck will now turn their focus to bringing home the Florida State Championship for the Benjamin School.
