In this live lesson, we fixed a common downswing mistake — rotating too early from the top. Instead of spinning open, we worked on keeping the back to the target just a moment longer and letting the arms drop into the slot. The result? A club path from left-to-right, a perfect on-plane swing, and a much better strike. Try this simple downswing thought and watch your ball flight improve instantly.

Nice tip to keep back to target then dropping the arms first.
The experts swing looked nothing like he was showing the trainee
This what I can’t figure out
He looked at but open as well on the first one, maybe compensation for the over the top quick rotation. The next ones he is slightly closed and it helps him stay back longer for sure.
I have been working on this a lot lately. Now my ball striking is a mess. 😂😂
Icarido!!
God it’s my biggest problem and I don’t know how to stop it.
There's no recentering move.
I LOVE you guys!!!!!
Simple, common sense adjustments that change golf games for the better!!!!
It’s interesting to see most tour players with their belly button basically facing the target at impact and yet this advice of keep your back to the target is EVERYWHERE
I can do that easy in slow mo but in full speed it turns to shit 😂😂
Right hand into right pocket. Money!
Such bullshit saying get there then turn because in reality it happens in a micro second.
Sorry
So the issue prior to the lesson for this guy was he was hooking the ball? Correct?
Loosen your grip until we can feel the club head then swing until we feel the the club head release it's not as complicated your hands and body will do it's natural thing ❤️🙏 namestie
This is my biggest problem. I know im doing it, but I cant "feel" it. Whenever I force myself to let the hands drop and just think of a small delay in my rotation I do fine, but unless I spend the next week at the range a few times to grind it in….the body forgets by the time the next round rolls around.
No laying up!
Dont let that right knee pass left knee before impact – tom watson.
Stops early extension
Dam wish I cud hit it like that
This type of drilling is so bad. Like is he a fucking robot. Look at how un athletic he looks through the whole video. This is a joke.
In the coaches swing he didn’t do anything he told this guy to do🙈🙈
Tony Romo?
I prefer an arm swing.
Half say drop your hands half say hips first…
This seems to be contrary to everything I've ever heard
down and then turn, two total different moves make it impossible to be consistent.
It's amazing how people still pay for this coaching
Looking forward to trying this. Thank you
This is typical horseshit golf instruction. The notion that the downswing is driving by an upper body intent is the path to nowhere that amateur golfers continue to take. WHAT drives the arms down IS the lower body action, culminating in a turn that drives the club out to the ball. STOP trying to initiate the downswing with upper body intents!!!!
Arms? ^ up and v down. Hips? = ) rotation around the feet. The golf swing is the combination of chopping in to a tree 🌴 trunk with an 🪓 not sweeping the ball up into the air with a 🧹 That boys and girls is what Mr. Hogan cryptically taught us by waggling the club and telling us ‘the secret is in the dirt’ meaning you need to point the club into the ground to make the ball react and fly skyward /
Its that simple and I'm gonna whack fuck that all up😂😂😂😂😂
This is complete bullsh*t 😅. Rotate hips then shoulders then arms
You mess with your swing too much and you’ll just give up golf. After five seconds of the video I was over it too much twerk. You gotta make it work for yourself.
Wow might be the best 00.01 ever👏
Resist the urge to hit it far and you‘ll hit it even farther. Easier said than done, but it‘s a fact
