Sure you are. Why would you say that? Aren’t holes in one the proverbial holy grail? My last one was in 1986; I’m due!

I can imagine. Imagining is all I have because its never happened; alone or otherwise.

Nice par!

I would absolutely love to have a HIO by myself. Don’t care what anyone else thinks about my HIO. Will admit next goal would be HIO with a witness.
Robbintx
why? I will take a hole-in-one any way I can get it, Cam would go on from the tee box, if there is anyone in shouting distance I am calling them over.
All I have gotten is a simulator hole in one, I have come so close so many times, I WANT IT!! lol
NetReasonable2746
HIO by myself would be perfectly fine..it means I don’t have to abide by the lame ass rule of buying others a drink.
And odds are my wife will be in the cart watching anyway.

Had a “hole-in-one” on a second tee shot once. It killed me—maybe the only time that happens and it went down as a par on the scorecard!
stevemm70
I would patiently wait on the tee box until the next group pulls up, so they can witness the glory that I have created.

I did it…at 16. I don’t expect anyone to believe me, I don’t believe it either.

Yea, I dont have an issue with getting a hole in one by myself. I have nothing to prove to anyone I haven’t proved to myself. Nice bird, op. Tweet tweet.

It happened to me. Luckily some guys teeing off on a teebox adjacent to my green saw it and notified the staff which had a glass of champagne waiting for me when I finished 18.

I got my first eagle by myself

My best friend got a hole in 1 playing by himself. I always told him it didn’t count if he didn’t have a witness. Friends can be such assholes

I had my first and only hole in one playing by myself, couldn’t be happier 🙂 A really short par 4, 190yds over some trees or you can play the dog leg.
I didn’t realize the ball was in the hole until I had already decided to drop one near the green. Chipped it close, and while lining up my putt I saw the first ball in the hole.. starred at it for probably 2 minutes in disbelief.
Sure nobody was there to celebrate with, but I will always remember that feeling and memory..

Me and my dad played through a foursome Sunday on a long downhill par 3 and I bladed a six iron to about 2 ft but it looked like it could’ve gone in had it kept going but I was almost glad it didn’t. If I get a HIO (especially my first and potentially only), I’d much rather it not be in a solo round or from a lucky mishit.
Unspeakable_Evil
Maybe it would’ve gone in if the hole was an actual circle

I often imagine a hole in one when playing wit—by myself.

I’ve never had a hole in one but I often play by myself and have had this exact thought. A hole in one is meant to be experienced by more than one person.
Master_Top7291
Made my hole in one playing by myself. Luckily there was a group of 5 old men sitting in their carts right behind the green waiting so I could play through on the next hole. Proceeded to top my next tee shot right to the ladies tee box, due to my hands still shaking. Luckily it was a par 5 and managed to save par.

I get it.
I hit a par 5 in two earlier this month (guarded by water with a magnificent 5 wood that stopped 15 feet from a front pin).
The thing is, I’d accidentally tapped the ball when setting up my second shot and it moved about an inch.
I just missed the eagle putt and I too was glad it didn’t go in. I’ve never eagled a par 5 and if the first time it happened I’d technically made a penalty, I’d always know the truth and it would have bothered the hell out of me.

Ray Charles could make that putt. Probably more often than me. 🙂

I had a shot just like this when I first started golfing. Maybe my 4th time ever playing. To this day have not gotten a hole in one. Been playing for about 3 years now
Any-Elderberry-7812
Came that close to a HIO once, but it was my second shot, the first had disappeared in a creek that paralleled the hole I was playing. Had witnesses though, so a par and some laughs, and after all, that’s why I play the game.
0-my-goodness
When I am playing solo, I yell at those balls on par 3’s “don’t go the fuck in”. So far they have all listened….

Totally made an ace playing alone. Bought a hole in one trophy to mount the ball and everything.
An ace is an ace.

I had one even closer, literally an RCH from dropping in. It was in a tournament and al four of us were like “How the fuck did that not go in?”

Did you make the birdie putt?
