  1. I have that gnawing feeling in my gut that CW just doesn't have IT. Will he continue to hold the ball too long? I have that sinking feeling.

  2. There is wayyyy too much analysis right now. Cant draw any conclusions till at least Thanksgiving this year

  3. So we’re throwing out Ben Johnson’s opinion on Caleb? Johnson had his choice of Caleb or the field when he turned down the commanders. He said he’d rather gamble on flus fumbling the golden ticket than get his pick of every qb except Caleb.

  4. This list is proof how reactionary the nfl is and how most can’t see past the next hour. I still remember everyone laughing at the chiefs for trading up and drafting mahomes. The rest of the nfl saw the best qb ever sitting there and said he’s not it.

  5. Caleb sucks. Another middle of the road shitbag for the Bears. -We are going to take the division and never give it back🤣😂

  6. I think accuracy depends first on health and stamina and on confidence and the playbook issues put a serious drag on all three.

NFL offenses require processing and storing information with extremely rapid recall. I believe Caleb has all those things but he’s been working his ass off and the whole set of offensive players including Caleb have hit a wall.

So if Ben was looking for the point where they’ve been overloaded, it sounds like they’ve reached it.

Maybe it’s close to the time when they start designing game plan practices around stuff they do well and get them sharp on those things and add back slowly additional adjustments and wrinkles and other things a little at a time according to how well they sharpen what they’re good at.

  7. “They liked Jayden’s processing” easy when buddy is tossin screens every play and has a good o line 😂

  8. I hard time judging Caleb last year as dysfunctional as the Coaching staff was last year. Offense can not be worse than under Flus and both coordinators Matt had. If the defense improves I think we will be alright..even if it isn't their full potential on 9ffense. I never liked the No Cover 2,even with Lovie I didn't like it.

  9. I can't go through another Bears QB bust so everyone better be wrong about Caleb or i might be done

  10. If this team starts slow there will be a mutiny within the locker room… All of Caleb's teammates see the QBs practice every day, they see them in the weight room every day… They know who the best qb in the locker room is… They know who gives them the greatest chance at success week in and week out…. That will be the thing Ben Johnson has to worry about…i mean, at this point even Ben Johnson knows who gives them the best chance to win week in and week out….. Let's see how it goes

  11. "You have to give him a bit of grace…" "You haven't had much practice yet"… proceeds to not give any grace or expect a lot. So, here are some facts: Caleb had the best season of any Bears QB not named Cutler or Kramer. He did that with a missing man formation o-line. He had 3 OCs and 2 HCs. Oh, and it was his ROOKIE year.

Here's some more, he went from that bafoonery to a completely new system designed by the man who's had one of the best offenses in the NFL for the past three years. Did you think mastering said offense was going to be easy? Did you expect Caleb to come in after two weeks of camp and know it all, hit every receiver in stride, be mindful of your precious TTT, and do that all with a smile? OR….MAYBE….we listen to said brilliant HC about how he is doing. This is all a work in progress.

I get Sando's thing he does, it's fine. To me there's not much there to be able to judge Caleb on. As to who was responsible for what last year WHO CARES. The last time I saw Caleb he was leading a team down the field in under a minute to beat the Packers in Lambeau. Guess that doesn't count?? 🤔Let's see what happens now. I know, chilling out a bit, relaxing, and letting the coach and the team work. How silly of me.

  12. What a waste, who cares about dumb rankings? Almost as dumb as preseason college football polls.

  13. We have the Harlon Hill Award winning quarterback on our roster! So, if the Heisman Award winning quarterback doesn’t work out, what are worried about?

  14. I'm really afraid Caleb may just be bad. Once again our GM, this time Poles, is swayed by flashy physical talent by a guy who can't process what he's seeing.

  15. My only problem with these takes is that the same things were talked about with JF. Outside of Mahomes, Burrows and Jayden Daniels all of the current young QBs have these issues.

  16. I think it’s easy to say a 1st overall pick should raise the floor with even subpar coaching, but has there ever been an example of that happening? Even Andrew Luck had Bruce Arians

  17. These guys have Drake Maye who had 20+ turnovers over Caleb lmao. CW gets too much hate. We will be fine

  18. 44:07….. 3500 yards….20 TDs….6 int….FUGGN 46 QBR…. Do you guys know how pathetically inefficient and ineffective a NFL QB has to be to post a 46 QBR with only 6 int through an entire 17 game season

  19. I always worry about peoples mental capabilities when they speak like Caleb does. He uses a lot of um’s to form sentences. Often leading to inability to process information. Physical abilities are not enough at that level and the deficiencies start to get exposed. My wife says it might be a nervous thing but I’m not so sure. With that said I want him to be great and I look forward to seeing him play.

  20. It's the preseason people with common sense don't care. CHGO is going to turn this pod into a drama sewing circle like everything else they make.

  21. The same people who called Caleb a generational talent 12 months ago are now droning on about a lack of processing speed. It’s almost like they know a lot less about what they’re talking about than they let on.

Stay patient and don’t panic. Caleb will very likely be very good.

  22. Yup that does it. Hoge & Jahns are just racist lol. How can you down talk and have such little belief in your own damn qb!? Its year 2 and he finally has a capable staff and oline around him. This is basically a reset/rookie year. Or would you like your fellow white man Tyson Bagent to be qb1 instead, would that make you happy H & J?? 🥺🙏🏻

  23. Don’t want to sound rude but wtf is with the “ coming up on hoge and jahns” do we really need that?

  24. "It's preseason… no reason to panic. Ben Johnsons first year with the team. It will take time!" is what we were told… and here we are tiptoeing panic…

  25. Such a lazy analysis by Sando and National Media. “Caleb holds the ball too long” also Caleb has to shortest time after the snap before pressure because of the shitty O-line last year.

  26. Before the draft, Adam Hoge was so condescending towards anybody who questioned all the things that he's now agreeing Caleb is struggling with

  27. What's concerning is that the 11 year review of Bears QBs is frighteningly accurate. Please buck the trend Caleb!

  28. caleb williams is going to take half the season to figure it out. and that’s the price of absolutely destroying his talent with a dogshit coaching staff. I’m not going to have an opinion on this team until after the bye.
