President Trump received an engraved golf putter from a Ukrainian soldier who found solace in the game after losing his leg while fighting Russian invaders, The Post has learned.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented Trump with the club — engraved with the phrase “Let’s putt peace together!” — in the Oval Office Monday on behalf of Junior Sgt. Kostyantyn Kartavtsev.

“I am one of those soldiers you have spoken about — they’re courageous, they are good soldiers,” Kartavtsev said in a video message shown to Trump by the Ukrainian president. “I lost a leg rescueing my fellow men, and am recovering here with golf.”

Kartavtsev golfs on an artificial leg courtesy of the Ukrainian Golf Federation’s United By Golf program, which focuses on veterans’ rehabilitation.

“This is a gift from a man who knows the true price of peace,” United By Golf said in a statement. “Like all those on the frontlines today, he continues to defend our freedom.”

”I know a lot about golf, and your swing is great,” Trump, an avid golfer and fan of the game, told Kartavtsev in a responding video message after Zelensky showed a clip of the soldier on the course.

“It looks beautiful, and you’re going to be a very good golfer very soon, but I also want to thank you for this putter.

”It’s beautiful and it’s made with real love, and it’s given to me with real love from you, and I appreciate that.” the US president concluded.

Kartavtsev’s golf game has been key to his rehabilitation as he adjusts to life with a prosthetic leg, helping him regain his balance — “both physically and emotionally,” he told Trump in his message.

“Golf took me out into the fresh air, helped me breathe freely and switch from war to peace; it gave me the path to healing,” the soldier said in Ukrainian. “Previously, I had only seen it on TV, but it became more than just part of rehabilitation.”

When Kartavtsev learned that Zelensky would go to the White House, he contacted the Ukrainian president’s office to ask if he would deliver the gift, knowing Trump shared his love of the sport, Kyiv officials told The Post.

“Today, I give you my [putter,] not as an athlete, but as a warrior who dreams of peace through strength,” he said, referencing Trump’s oft-repeated phrase that originated with former President Ronald Reagan. “Please help Ukraine live again without war.”

Trump seemed touched by the message, telling Kartavtset in his response: “Every time I sink a putt, I’ll be thinking of you.”

The president also called Ukraine a great country,” adding that he and Zelensky were “trying to bring it back to health.”

“Your president is working very, very hard to make it that way,” Trump also said of Zelensky.

“The veteran community of the United By Golf club thanks Donald Trump for his leadership on the path to peace for Ukraine and his kind words to our brother-in-arms,” the group said in its statement.
