Arjuna Awardee local golfer, Harmeet Kahlon and his team comprising Sam Sekhon, Karan Dhaliwal and Joey Napora won the Surjan Singh Sanghera Memorial Golf Tournament at Red Tail Landing Golf Course, Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. Their combined winning score was 11-under par in the Texas Scramble format. They won in a countback after having tied with two other teams. The tournament was part of the big Indian Punjabi Golfing Community Charity Tournaments. Kahlon and his partner Carmen Kropinak also finished in tied-third position in the PGA of Alberta Pro-Ladies Golf Championship, at Millwoods Golf Club, with a score of 40 Stableford points. The duo represented Broadmoor Public Golf Course as the Director of Golf and head professional.

Kahlon will now be participating in the prestigious PGA of Alberta Seniors Golf Championship at McKenzie Meadows Golf Club in Calgary from August 25 to 26. Kahlon is now a Canada-based professional golfer.
