If only they spent a few more dollars on writing the script.

This movie had a Doctor Strange level of millions of possible futures where it was good – clearly we’re in the shit timeline.

I really can’t believe they led with having Happy kill Julie Bowen. It makes no logical sense; it’s not something that I’ve ever heard of happening before in golf, and it ruined the entire premise of the movie.

All they had to do was make it simple and about Shooter and Happy getting even. Instead, Shooter was barely in the movie and it was mainly about PGA vs LIV only even less entertaining than the actual drama of real life.

Edit – admittedly forgot what an upside down zone of a sub I commented in.

First 3/4: ‘This isn’t too bad’

Last 1/4: ‘This is unbelievably dumb’

Record breaking… for a movie filmed in NJ since 2018. Movies are expensive. One of Netlfix’s movies released earlier this year had a $300+ mil budget.

I can’t believe how many people thought this movie was decent. I must be missing something because I didn’t think it was all that funny at all. It was just bad.

  6. Hilarious all the people in here complaining about the script and the movie in general.

    1. What did you expect? Have you watched Happy Gilmore 1? It’s pretty stupid too, that’s the point. It’s also Adam Sandler, not known for his Oscar performances.

    2. This movie broke all sorts of viewership numbers, so while you complain, the producers are laughing all the way to the bank.

Yes it was dumb, but anyone who thought it should be anything other than that, is just naive. It was a clear cash grab and I honestly think they put more effort in than they had to.

I swear anyone who is upset with how this movie turned out never actually watched the first one, or can’t accept that they’re old and no longer the target audience of a kids movie

Movie was great! Shooter went from villain to hero, all the cameos were well done. Shut up if you don’t agree!

Netflix famously splashes out on productions

I loved this movie despite all the lame CGI. It was everything I could’ve asked for 29 years later.

Where do you want them to go back to shooter?

    Shaaaaanttieeees.

Worst part of the movie was Eminem as the hecklers son.

Hot take. Didn’t finish the first bc it was too stupid. Didn’t even care or know they made a second. Didn’t watch.

Not an Adam Sandler fan. Sorry not sorry

I keep telling people that if you recognize all or most of the cameos, plus understand Sandler’s style, you’ll absolutely love this movie. If not, and you’re expecting cinematic excellence, you’re going to be completely lost.

Gotta be a money laundering scheme.

The worst part was at the end when the thing is spinning their cgi guys weren’t able to key the clubs right so it turned invisible. Looks like it was made with tik tok green screen effect.

I just find the idea of golfers doing a choreographed dance routine as they are presented on center stage to be absolutely hilarious.

It was great to get a few extra laughs out of some classic characters. Modern pros were hilarious. If you couldn’t enjoy it for what it was, you take yourself too seriously.

Are you poors seriously bitching about Happy Madison Productions spending $152M on a comedy about golf?

    Go back to your shanties!

Crazy to me to spend that much on objectively just a terrible movie. Eyes are eyes though so I get that.
