Country Club Tasmania has unveiled The Range, a 28-bay driving range equipped with Top Tracer technology. The Range is open seven days a week, with interactive gameplay for up to six guests per bay. The upgraded offering continues Country Club Tasmania’s multi-stage renovation, which is expected to finish in Spring 2026. Country Club Tasmania is located ten minutes from Launceston’s CBD in Prospect Vale.

Weekend hackers, take note; there is a new golfing hotspot Down Under. Country Club Tasmania has officially launched ‘The Range’, a new 28-bay driving range equipped with Top Tracer technology and interactive gameplay for up to six guests per bay. Open seven days a week, the latest golf entertainment concept offers a bold, modern twist on a heritage sport, and it’s only the beginning.

Inspired by global concepts like Topgolf and Swing Factory, The Range brings a decidedly more contemporary approach to the Gentleman’s Game. The high-tech, high-energy golf concept bridges the gap between sports and hospitality, offering guests the opportunity to play, eat, relax and compete in a refined, ultra-modern setting. In addition to booking one of the 28 available bays, attendees can also reserve multi-player packages, which feature private bays, club hire and curated meals from the Clubhouse Restaurant.

Moreover, each bay features advanced shot-tracking technology, giving players real-time feedback on ball speed, distance, and accuracy. You can play individually, using the insights to improve your performance or partake in interactive challenges and virtual games, opening pathways for players of all skill levels.

Located around 10 minutes from Launceston’s CBD in Prospect Vale, Country Club Tasmania is one of the state’s premier hospitality destinations. The mixed-use space houses a 4.5-star resort, complete with resort rooms and self-contained villas, alongside a championship golf course, casino, restaurants and bars. In 2024, the Launceston venue announced a $14 million renovation project, aiming to deliver a ‘first-of-its-kind’ golfing precinct.

According to Ross Hannah, general manager of Country Club Tasmania, the launch of the new driving range marks an important milestone in the venue’s ongoing development. The Range continues an already established legacy of top-tier golf experiences, but it also offers a new entry point for emerging players.

“The launch of The Range marks a bold new era of leisure and play in Launceston,” Hannah said. “With its cutting-edge design and vibrant atmosphere, the precinct brings a buzz to the region that’s been missing, offering a fresh, fun-filled experience for everyone who walks on the green. It’s the beginning of an exciting transformation unfolding at Country Club Tasmania.”

Renovations are expected to continue until Spring 2026, when the final stages are unveiled to patrons, but for now, Country Club Tasmania is making good on its promise to deliver a world-class contemporary golf experience. Since 2024, new additions to the golfing precinct include:

The Range: A 28-bay driving range equipped with Top Tracer technology, offering precision tracking and interactive gameplay for up to six guests per bay Mini-Golf: An 18-hole mini golf course, perfect for families, date nights, and friendly competition The Clubhouse Bar and Restaurant: Hospitality venue serving food and drinks to complement the entertainment Coaching: Professional coaching sessions are available for those looking to sharpen their skills
