Maybe it’ll be Fleetwood. First closeout on a season closeout.

You don’t have to wear a white hat to make it to the Tour Championship, but evidently it helps.

Hoping that Conners can pull it off. But I also can’t wait for Sunday when he shoots over par and takes himself out of contention! (Jk go Canada)

Tommy Fleetwood leads day 1, Justin rose has a great second round and leads day 2 with Fleetwood right behind. Rory has a wild start to his weekend with 5 eagles and 5 double bogeys through 2 rounds. Scottie wins by 7 strokes.

Starting X strokes in the lead based on season performance was weird, so this is better, but it still feels off. I’d prefer a match play tournament, with a double bye for the top 4 or something like that, reseeded for the final eight.

It’s more like who is taking second place. We all know that Scottie is going to win it

JJ Spaun of course. Just randomly out of nowhere

When we were kids practicing putts we always dreamed of that final putt to win the Tour Championship rather than to win the Masters, British Open or US Open. Didn’t we?

So if Akshay Bhatia, who just squeaked in at #30, wins this week he is the champion of the PGA Tour for 2025, and winner of the FedEx Cup and not Scottie Scheffler. Does that make any sense?

30 guys, 1 cup sounds like an interesting time.

I’d like Åberg to make a strong showing, he started off the season so strong but has been very quiet for a long stretch now. A top 5 finish would be good for the guy, I think

Cmon, Tommy’s got this on lock!

Ah who am I kidding. I can’t even type it with a straight face.

JD if he comes back with heroine in his system

Is this one of those tournament where No. 1 gets a head start in strokes given before the start.

The PGA is still struggling for an equitable way to play the Tour Championship. I propose that once you get to 30 you go to a match play format seeded by the standings. I’m not the first one to propose it through each site for it would be Chambers Bay. (If not the sweltering Southern locations even though Coca-Cola pays for it)

Is Ted Stevens on the bag for Scottie? Yes, then Scottie. No, then Scottie. Hoping for someone in the 20-30 ranking though.

It’s funny that Fleetwood is at the bottom considering he’s never won a tournament and many of the guys above have.

Not sure I plan on watching 30 men, 1 cup…

Pretty fucking sure we know who’s gonna take it

  20. Does it really count if Taylor Gooch isn’t in the field?

  21. NotoriousMFT

Betting on anyone but Scottie seems like a fools errand at this point

The format for this is so silly (just to be clear, the previous format was too.) . It should be a no doubt that Scottie is winning the fed-ex cup, but the fact any of these dudes can take it is so dumb. Only other player who is deserving of it is Rory.

The fact that bhatia can win the cup as the last guy in is insane. It’s supposed to be a ‘season long race’. They just need to go back to when there could be a different TC and FedEx Cup winner. There is no perfect solution, but at least the player with the best season would win the season long race (assuming Scottie doesn’t win next week.)
