Branden Grace led the way for Stinger GC with a top-5 finish in Indianapolis, nearly holing out for an ace to start his final round. With Dean Burmester’s season-long consistency and the South African quartet grinding hard, the team now head into the LIV Golf Team Championship in Michigan full of momentum.

Grace reflected on the stormy conditions, the Stingers’ fightback, and why he believes the team can finish the season on a high. As LIV Golf’s unique mix of match play and stroke play sets up a thrilling winner-takes-all finale, all eyes will be on whether the Stingers can rise to the challenge.

South Africa will also host its first-ever LIV Golf event in 2026, with fans already snapping up tickets for the Stinger GC homecoming. Don’t miss the action from Michigan as the season comes to a dramatic close!

Yeah. Um, that would have been a a blessing to start that way, but I’ll take the the birdie on the first hole of the day. It was just such a perfect number, full gap wedge. Um, when I hit it, I thought, ah, this is going to be good. It just mustn’t spin too much, then it’s going to go off the green. But, um, you know, one one ball length from from having a ace to start the day. So, um, it was a nice way to started. Yeah, I thought it was good. I thought the golf course was good. Um, obviously this morning a little bit disappointed with the with the way that everything happened with the with the storms and things. So, the golf course really softened up. we would have been a lot more firmer and faster and things like that so it could have been a lot more trickier but um I think the guys did good you know I think obviously a little bit slow on the first day but the second and third day um you know we really stepped it up we played good over the last couple of days and um you know hopefully that’s the momentum we need to to to take into next week yeah um listen I think it was um it was great you know a lot of hard work a lot of time a lot of effort from not just from myself and you know my family um the team um you know Karen everybody around it you know everybody it’s it’s been good it’s been a it’s been a tough grind, but it’s been good. Feel like we’ve got a lot under control so far and um it’s been good. You know, today was a little bit iffy out there. It’s struggling for for a couple of holes, but then um you know, managed to get it out and we fixed it and then um then was back on the birdie train. Yeah, I think um listen, everybody’s in a hype. Obviously, it’s a it’s a big tournament for us. Um we haven’t won it. Um obviously with coming, you know, getting the victory a couple of weeks ago. Um we all feel good. It’s now about just resting up and and getting there and get get going. Um I think everybody’s playing really good in solid golf. So, um, we’re definitely in for in it with a shout. Yeah, I think it’s going to be amazing. Um, this is what, you know, from what I’ve spoken to people, this is what everybody wants in South Africa. Uh, everybody support the Stingers. Um, they, you know, they’ve been behind us since day one. Um, we four great guys. We, we love doing what we’re doing. We love going back to South Africa. We love supporting South Africa, the Sunshine Tour. And, um, you know, it’s a dream for us to be able to take a live tournament to South Africa. Yeah. Listen, um, we all know how it works. Sometimes um when you’re at the top of the game, you get knocked down. But um you just have to keep grinding, keep working hard, and eventually we’re going to get to the top again. Thanks for your help, eh? Heat. [Music]
