As you all probably know, mats can be hundreds of dollars and many of them will wear out around the hitting area having to be replaced at some point. I made my own mat and cut out a spot for a hitting strip. When the strip eventually wears out I can just replace the turf using a roll I bought. It’s an acrylic sheet, some foam strips, and turf. Cost me $40 to make.
Mats are also know to cause wrist/joint pain and this strip should prevent that. The club no longer abruptly stops when hitting the floor. What do you all think?

I did something very similar, except I bought a really thick kind of cheap mat and it was still causing issues, so I took a blade and cut out strips like yours has and problem solved.
How did you affix the grass to the acrylic? May steal this.
