No second chances in the Carabal Cup, but of course it’s win or go home. Penalties if we need them. Chris Davis and the hierarchy will be desperate to compete in this competition and with likes nights like Newcastle last season in immediate memory. This is a reborn club desperate to compete with clubs at the very top of the game. So Doyle left arm raised. It will come in right foot. An early chance from the set piece for Blues. It towards the near post. The flick on was from Kyogo and it fired straight across the face of goal. Massive early chance to forge that little pocket of space at the front post. Hands on heads for Kyogo for a knows he probably should have done better with the contact. I’m just watching the replays here. Picks up for the first time this evening, but he’s dispossessed. Here’s Sasuk. Awkward for him. Brilliant for Kyogo. Well, this is a man who promised us goals on his arrival and within five minutes this evening. Kyogo opens his Blues account. Showing to the Sheffields United hierarchy that he was the man for the job. Heavy challenge goes in from Leonard, but it’s broken here and it wasn’t too far away from the cutting. So, Blues have been threatening from set pieces so far. What can Alex Cochran conjure with? This was a great ball in. Claraara was on the end of it, but Claraara puts his glancing header wide. Threat from those kind of positions. Kristoff Claraara is well challenged back there by McCallum who did just enough to put the big Austrian off his effort. Those touches of quality. Little intricate flick the stand out. But along with the Mari Gray, Kyo, here he is again. Marsh has lost it. And Kyo looking to benefit. He’s bulled it wide. Just snatched at it. Kyo Furashi. There’s eyes for the man from Japan, but he couldn’t hit the target after great work from Tamokiata. Yeah, you expect him to score if I’m honest just because of the quality we know he has. Great work from Iwata high up the pits pressing in this opener of the Carabel Cup and Kyogo has stolen it from Sasuke and Kyogo charging clean through on goal for two. Lobster the goalkeeper can’t beat the retreating Robinson. didn’t have the pace to carry at goalbound. Rolls it instead to Doyle. That’s a great knock for Cockran who went for goal. That’s blocked only as far as Ethan led. But in game McCllum on the challenge with a sliding block and it still remains 1 nil. But here comes Sheffield nice on the counterattack. Dear Gray sprinting back to cover Cockran Okaki in a foot race with Dear Gray and despite having a 10yd head start, Dear Gray has beaten them all. Ends up with a retreating challenge. keeps his hands down by his side, but Blues surrender possession. Claraara battling with Campbell. Great flick by Villimson. Referee got in the way. Blues want a drop ball. Hey goes for the spectacular. Audacious attempt from beaten James Beedle. And in a flash, completely against the run of play, Sheffield United have leveled up the cup tie in some controversy indeed. Anderson backpedaling towards his own goal, rolls it back to Beedle. Has just about on it, enough on it to outrun Campbell. Beedle puts his foot through it downfield and Stansfield is lurking and Stansfield over the defenders. Jay Stansfield did everything right by the finish. Binden almost presented itself to Lyndon Dykes. Blue still in the attack as Pek whips it into Lynden Dykes. Glanced away only as far as Keshi Anderson on the edge of the penalty area. Anderson spins, lays it off to Alex Cochran who looks to tea up Villimson on the chest and then Villimson to Stanfield. Chase St. the man we have turned to on so many occasions with another huge goal for Blues in front of the Tilton. Stano puts us back in front in the dying embers. And now we have one foot in the second round of the Carabel Cup in our desperate hour of need. Step up Jay Stansfield. Yeah, unsurprising. He’d have seen the chances earlier in the game and wished he was on the pitch. What a turn that is away from his mark. And then it’s about keeping it down. Just tries to focus on the strike. But as it is, Blues are in the second round of the Carabel Cup. Stansfield, the savior.

Gray running off behind the nets with hands raised celebrating the goal before Kyogo had even touched it was class
Demarai's covering tackle after the guy had a 10 yard start…. brilliant. Shows the attitude CD has injected into the squad.
What a load of shite Sheffield tried thier hardest to make it easy for small heath but they still needed two flukes a premier league team would have got double figures
Wow ๐ฎ ๐โคbravo ๐๐ฅ
Birmingham city need a new slogan for celebrating after goalsโค๏ธ๐
Brilliant contest. Could easily have ended 5-0. Birmingham fans are quickly learning why Kyogo has been a fan favourite throughout his career. He applies pressure and creates chances constantly, with his clever and deceptively quick movement. I guess you are also seeing his remarkable talent for wasting on-a-silver-platter opportunities. . . .
This is Kyogo. Get used to it. He creates five times as many chances as any other striker you can name . . . and then he misses the target with 2/3rds of them. He has been doing exactly the same thing since he broke into the J.League. Dont worry though — the math works out OK in the end.
I expect Kyogo to be near the top in goals scored and assists for Birmingham City this year, and he will surely create more chances than anyone else on the team.
But he is also likely to set an all-time club record for most shots missed. Trust me — youll learn to love him for it.
Lip up, fatty, ah, lip up, fatty, for the burgers.
Kyogo could have even Hattrick this match if he executed accurately.
Anyway good start for him.
Good win dominated the game. Laird was excellent ๐๐
Nice to play well and get a result on live tv. Over the years we would have snatched defeat but we are a new beast
Kyogo ๐ฏ๐ต The first of many.

Kyogo looks superb! Only came here to see Hamers goal (Villa fan) ๐คซ
This could of been a 4-1 Game. We we're close so many times but the composure is just lacking. Once Kyogo settles in properly he is going to be a terror! KRO!
nice one two off the ref for their goal.
I remember seeing Trevor Francis score from not a lot closer than Hamer, and I never thought it was the keepers error, sometimes people just do something special,
he wasnt that far off his line.. why is he diving backwards!! Keeper needs to do better there
I've not been this excited for a long time . Wow !!!!
Birmingham City Win
Willumson was quality yesterday as well. He is unreal in tight spaces around the box. KRO

There are a thousand questions about the safety of the control there is the shoe before the eyes of the judge on Forhashi
Fulham fan, but i very much enjoy watching stansfield. We got fair money for the lad and he has warmed to Birmingham, it's all very nice. Birmingham are a fun team to watch too, good on you for building such a good team with a proper identity. Wish you the best in the championship.
Crazy how animated the fans are for the first round of a cup

Klarer is a beast of a cb and leonard showing signs of a prime gerrard๐
Kyogo is rusty. He will start to bang them in with more confidence
