What is happening guys? Welcome to the channel. I am the ultimate rookie. If you haven’t been here before, welcome. Please like and subscribe and fire your comments in there as well. Today the challenge is going to be a ninehole challenge against Australian PGA Tour professional Jason Day. Now, obviously, very, very small YouTube creator, Jason Day is not going to be in this video, but I was scouring through the scores in the PGA playoffs, and Jason Day scored the highest number on nine holes. In the fourth round, on his way out, he scored a 42. So, that is going to be the target for today’s challenge. So obviously it goes without saying that Jason Day is by far an absolutely much better golfer than I am. It’s not even comparable. I’m a 16 handicap at the moment. Just for an update, I have dropped from a 20. So it was trying to gauge sort of a rough score that I could get. Now the best score that I’ve achieved at Lor Meadows, which is where we’re playing today, is a 43. So, it it’s possible if I’m really playing my a game. The weather is absolutely glorious at the minute. It’s about 26° and there’s very very minimal wind. The course is treelined as well, so there shouldn’t be too much wind to affect it. It’ll just be my own incompetence, which is my downfall, which is always the problem. Anyway, so without further ado, let’s just let’s get to it. So, here we go. You are watching my official warm-up. I think it’s about two practice lings and then we go Jason Day’s full round 72 started off with a 42 and then a 30 on the back n I’m flattening camera angle shots of banger right in the middle. 153 to the ground. Have an iron turned out to be too long. I didn’t want to take the camera onto the the next hole. is right on the edge of the par three, but it turned out to be a great shot of sitting up nicely in a rough chip. So, within about 15 to 20 ft, not too much undulation on this green, it looked to me to be a pretty straightforward putt. Not very often I get a par on this hole. But it’s nice to start. And even though Jason Day got a bogey, he’s playing a par4. We’re actually even. We’re going to be playing shot for shot. The holes are slightly different, but in the end, the target is really going to be the 42. Another perfect drive right onto the hill in par second left me with a gorgeous seven iron which was a slight chunk but this bouncier to the right made an absolutely gorgeous shot. That just had an absolute beautiful shot. It looks like it’s about 10 ft. But I did hit up on the guy in front of me and it was totally unintentional. So if you are watching this man in front of me, I’m really sorry. So after two holes, they’ll match and Jason tape. Okay. So, it is slightly it’s right on the edge of the fairway, which might be a bit of a problem for contact. Just a little bit rough eye, but we’ll see how we get on. It’s 132 to the flag. So, we’re going to full nine iron. Okay. So, as I did suspect, the uh little tiny bit rough behind the ball was bit of a problem. Couldn’t really get good contact behind it. So, yeah. I’m not really sure what you call that. just chunk slice. I’m sure somebody in the comments will tell me So, as expected, um, it was that second shot really that let me down the just a little tough to grass and I bald. I couldn’t really make clean contact. So, plus one to three. I’ve hit it into that left bunker. I thought I carried it and it hit the top right on the edge. Like if it had went maybe an inch or two further, it actually would have went absolutely miles. So I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing. being a bit inconsistent with the bunkers. So, can I play it safe and just use a lob wedge? So by sheer dumb luck, we’re now three shots ahead of Jason Day. That’s where he had his big fall apart on the par three fourth where he hit that seven. So some shots to play with. You know what? Uh driving today sometimes I prefer to use the irions, but I think because I’m hitting it well and I’m getting good distance out of it with the heat and the lack there of wind, I’ll just keep hitting the driver. But this the next set of holes don’t really use driver until the last like the ninth. So I don’t want to be playing silly shot. Just going to wedge it. Yeah, it wasn’t in a great light close to the trees and I could have probably tried a bit of a size shot, but there’s nothing really to gain from it because there’s a big burn that goes right across. Just chucked it over to the left because there is two bunkers again in front of the green and it’s quite a bit uphill. So, want to go long and hope that it maybe rolls back down. It’s quite severe slope on the green as well. So, I think you can kind of play especially in these conditions where it’s dry hard. So, my problem is becoming now I know how this sounds when I’m saying it is that I’m hitting consistently too well cuz I don’t usually hit my five iron uphill like that ended this way. I mean that would have been like 190. I had a sweet spot. It was sitting up nice and went right over the back. So that’s went over 200 y. It’s becoming a real problem that how good I am at golf. Not too bad to be fair. Slightly in a rough br cannot believe that. I thought it was coming round and coming round and coming round and oh man, I thought I was going in. And I thought I was going to get birdie and try and claw back with plus here. But a two up par I absolutely cannot complain about whatsoever. Get a little bit shade here as well, which is nice on this T- box. The seventh. It’s an uphill par three. It’s not one of my favorite holes to be fair, but not a lot of them are. Right. But I am putting but I am also about 10 20 yards off the green. So good luck. Huh? What? Okay. Well, I have a minute. Huge ups to the guys at Kodak for making these head covers. They’re black. They’re fluffy and they have Kodak written on them. Thanks. You know, a golfing pet peeve of mine is exactly what happened on that hole. Don’t really know why I puted it from 20 yards off the green, but I mean, I didn’t get an outrageously bad score, but it’s when you score like a a four on a par three, but three of your shots were putts. I feel like hey So at 350 now. It’s turning into a glorious night. I have just had a chocolate brownie on the ninth day and we still have very respectable score. Huh? Okay, so just back to reviewing the scores. I managed to beat Jason Day by one. It were one, two, three bogeies and one double bogey on the final. I thought I was never going to get that ball in hole in the final to be honest. A 41 plus five is an absolutely incredible score. It’s the pretty 99% sure that’s the best score I’ve ever had on Lor Meadows. I’ll absolutely take it. Incredible. Incredible. There’s some stats there on the screen. If you are into that, you know, sometimes I feel like the stats are just a little bit too much. And we can also have a look at Jason’s score there. You see his 42. It was literally that par three that just let him down in the end. Anyway, and yeah, thank you very much for watching. I appreciate every single one of you. Please stay tuned, like, subscribe, and chuck a little comment on there. Even if it’s something silly, it is always appreciated. Thank you very much, and I will see you next time. Peace.
