all right so welcome back uh this time I’m going to do a break 30 on the actual N9 hole course here at Gloria I haven’t played this course too much but I believe it’s a uh par 35 with one par five so it’s going to be tough to break 30 they’ve got some funky greens but um yeah I’m just going to mic up and talk you through basically all of my shots and I’ll try not to Ramble On too much but I think this might be useful um this hes quite straightforward there’s a tree at 260 so I’m going to hit driver to just basically eliminate the possibility of getting stuck behind it but I’m going to hit this quickly try to get out of the way and then uh speak a bit more as the round goes on so lining up to the pin here and then just going to try put a nice range swing on this all right it’s good all right so we have 60 yards here a bit uphill and a bit into wind but because we’re at the rough and it’s quite wet I think it’s going to run out a little bit more than normal so luckily I have a 60 yard shot with this club which is my lob wedge and I’m just going to play that really slightly right of the hole cuz I think it does feed in from the right um yeah so my 60 yard shot with this is basically a half swing and uh yeah going to aim a few feet right with the the pin and play a 60 yard shot here all right so it ran out a bit more than I’d hoped but that’s maybe like 12T so we are putting which is good it’s not too bad it’s going to be slightly left to right we’ve got a about okay so just over 12T I feel like it should definitely break left to right but I don’t feel too much there it’s going to be quite a bit downhill so first of all need to make sure that I don’t hit this too far past the cup so I just want to get the pace right I’m actually going to play this straight to be honest cuz I didn’t feel anything there so going to play this straight with good speed okay that jumped loads so uh I don’t think these greens are as good as the other courses but um yeah good start okay now this is probably one of the tougher t-shots on this nine there’s quite a bit of room left even if you are in the trees and this is down off of the right so although there is water on the right because the wind’s kind of coming off the water it gives me a bit more room to aim closer to the middle of of the Fairway otherwise if there was no wind here off the right I would be aiming this down the left side but um because it’s helping off the right even if I do miss it a bit to the right the wind should keep it inside the water so I’m actually going to hit this down the middle with a small fade and then I’m hoping that the wind pushes it a bit left so being a bit more aggressive here than I would do um normally butth that’s because the wind is quite heavy off the right so lining up and then just putting a rain swing on it yeah that should be good we have 122 here to the pin is down off the right a bit so I’m going to play this about 5 yard shorter and actually the wind is switching so it’s more into now but I have a shot with my 50° 3/4 swing that goes about 117 lining up with the pin and then yeah playing a nice aggressive 3/4 [Music] 50° so it’s a bit left of the flag but that’s uh yeah should be pretty good all right so I think that shot was actually a really good example of how important it is to know your distances and um you know just being pin high in general is huge because I pulled that a little bit and it wasn’t a great swing but being pin high is just so important and now we have maybe 9 foot or so here for another budy um these greens are quite hard to read so I’m feeling a bit of right to left there I don’t often look from behind the cup because I’m trying to get really good at using aim point but I don’t know this seems like a right Edge putt to me I’ve always struggled with green reading you know my putting has always let me down in tournaments but uh you know I’m making quite a big effort this year to try and improve it and a large part of that involves green reading for me so definitely going to get some sessions in with Jamie from AO uh maybe we can document those but I’m going to go just outside right edge here I did feel right to left and uh it does look you know like it’s going to break that way so I think it’s important to merge the two you know what you feel with your feet and also what you see visually O Okay um I hit that part exactly where I aimed so I’m actually not angry about that at all I suppose it was just straight anyway can never be disappointed with pars all right so we have 198 here it’s to the pin but it seems to be a back left pin so I don’t want to go long at all so I’m playing this 190 which is a six Lon for me and I’m just going to go for the middle of the green cuz again if I go left I will short side myself which I don’t want so just picking out a Target here lining up to the middle and then just putting a nice smooth swing on this [Music] okay should be middle of the green not too close but this is a tough hole okay so turns out the pin was in the middle not so close to the left as I thought and uh you know I only just caught the right side so there’s a huge benefit in having a pin sheet obviously I don’t have one today but it’s really yeah quite important to be honest and there was almost a silly play there by me off of the tea going so far right because there’s water like 20 yards away and uh you know almost Mr Green so not great but this is makeable breaking quite a bit from the right here so I think I have a good line actually I’m just going to focus on committing to this black line on my ball the rest of this nine holes cuz as I said on the last screen that’s quite important for me so you know I know that this is lined up somewhat correct I just need to trust it when I’m over the ball okay I just like it doesn’t feel like it’s going to break that much when I’m over the part so I’m going to adjust this and I would always encourage people to adjust if you don’t feel comfortable you know you’re adding what 5 seconds on the total time it takes to hit the shot and uh if it means potentially you’ll save a shot down the line then you know it’s worth it yeah that feels better straight away safely in for three tough hole and uh pars are always good on par 3es so the safe play here would be to hit something like a four iron short of this Fairway bunker but because the wind’s down and off the right I’m going to be a little aggressive here and I’m going to try and hit this over the corner but you know I’m not going to do too much different other than just put a normal swing on it but my line here is going to be a bit more aggressive so I’m going to go over that tallest tree with a slight fade and if I hit it good the wind will neutralize that if I pull it it’s fine and if I over fade it again the wind’s going to stop it from actually missing by that much so I can be quite aggressive here but I’m not going to swing out with my shoes most important thing here is to get my alignment right so picking out a nice [Music] spot pulled it slightly but that should be perfect right so turns out we could have actually challenged the front of the screen here but without a course guide it’s a little difficult to know exactly how far everything is but um we have an okay look at this I think my li is not too great so that’s already dictated the shot for me my two options are to go low and try stun this into the slope or go the aerial route which I probably would have taken had this been sitting up but I’m not going to prefer my lifee for the sake of a video I have about 20t of green before the flag so I could try play this high but with the way it’s sitting it’s just a bit risky so I’m going to drill a 60° into the bottom of this slope and hope that it checks up a bit okay I can’t see where that ended up but that could either be in the hole really close or it’s really long so let’s see but yeah I played that quite nice okay so easy birdie you know that was one of those shots where I just knew how it was going to react really and as soon as I hit it I thought it was going to be close so two under on to the next okay so I think this is the one and only par five on this nine um wind is off the left I hit a fade predominantly I need to tea up on this side to try and give myself as much space as possible I would like to give myself an eagle put here but uh you know if we work backwards from an eagle it starts with being in the Fairway and in play not necessarily miles down the Fairway so I’ve got room down the left side of the Fairway here bit more trouble and bunkering down the right so I’m going to have to start this quite close to these trees actually in front of the tea but because the wind’s off the left I’m not going to try and fade this too much I’m just going to play a neutral is shot here but again really focusing on alignment and start line that feels good so now just putting a range swing on this okay should be good maybe in the left rough but it’s not bad you won’t be able to tell but this is Rock Solid here and I have 203 to the pin um over a bunker so I have to hit a big draw here which means that I can Club down a little and to be honest because of the ground conditions I’m just trying to get this somewhere around the green um if I aim right and leave it there it’s going to be short right if I overhook it it should be long left and to be honest from this lie if I give myself a chance to make an up and down for four um that’s all I need here so I’m going to yeah I I don’t know how this is going to come out but uh I’m just going to aim right at the green and then commit to my shot and then you know whatever happens we deal with it that was a disgusting strike but it’s tumbling up there should be somewhere short right so yeah I mean that felt awful but it does the job right so it turns out there’s also a bunker right of the green which I didn’t know about but uh but this isn’t too bad I mean the sand is really quite wet which means it should spin a decent amount this slopes a bit from right to left so I’m really going to focus on Landing this about halfway between the Fringe and the pin slightly to the right there’s a bright spot there which you might be able to see but that’s my main focus here just Landing it somewhere around that okay I played that well I landed it where I wanted to but it didn’t really feed left so um yeah that was okay should be able to hold that for a birdie okay so we have about 3T here I don’t see much in this and I didn’t feel much there so going to play this straight you know for short puts it’s really quite important to be specific about where you’re aiming so although this is a very nothing part I’m still being very particular about where I’m aiming this so that line is is here it’s not here it’s not here it’s directly in the middle and um yeah I mean it’s a short putt but there’s no reason to give it any less respect than you would do a longer birdie part right so picking my line cool that was a good four after where that t-shot ended up um I’m quite happy with that all right ho six this should probably be an iron and a wedge but I I’m going to play this super aggressive I can’t talk too much because there is a group chasing me so just going to line up to the pin here I’m going to hit this a little harder than I normally would but might as [Applause] well okay should be good uh okay so this is not great to be honest I kind of deserve this for hitting driver off of the te um should have hit an iron but you know this is the risk you take when you don’t play sensible golf now my birdie chance here is kind of out the window but but I need to play this similar to the shot I had on four into the slope but to be honest I just don’t know how to do that left-handed um I need to get this somewhere around the green and then hope to make a par oh dear I mean it didn’t come out very good but I think it’s on the green which is a bonus but yeah really sad not a difficult hole so I shouldn’t have that putt for birdie that was bad course management off the tea so we’ve left ourselves quite a tricky putt here I’m feeling like 4 5% slope here for the aim pointers out there um with these types of Parts the main focus has to be to try to get it within 3 4 ft obviously we’re not trying to hold this if we do hold it that’s a huge bonus but uh you’ve got to make sure you don’t threep put from here if you can so pace is important picking a decent initial starting line is important so I’m picturing how this is going to run out I need to start it quite high and then once it hits the top of the slope it should start to feed down to the pin um but my main goal here is to get the speed right and to try get it within a 3T Circle so okay it should start to run down to the pin now this is about 2T I’d say we’ve done fairly well there to escape with the par but three under with three to play the 29 is not looking good all right so we’ve got one 70 to this flag which conveniently is in the middle of the green so we can actually go straight at it I have an AI in here I do have to hit this fairly well but all I’m going to do is pick out a nice Target and then fully commit to this swing okay should be close so it’s a bit short but at least we have a putted it okay just feeling a little bit of movement to the right um I don’t feel too much movement here so going to play this about one cup [Music] out okay kind of need this to go in oh okay that was lucky I pushed it but uh it didn’t break as much as I thought so yep take take that so this is an absolute mus hit Fairway because the pin is cut close to the water which uh you know it’s going to make it tough to get it near the hole if I’m in the rough so I’m teeing this really low going to place the ball back in my stance a bit swing down and left this is like my my Fairway finder um I don’t care how far this goes I just want it to get on the ground quick um and yeah just get in play really so ball back Heming a bit left then just hitting down and left on this okay that’s perfect that’s almost like a chip driver I I I really don’t care how far that shot goes because the main goal is to get it in play and it’s actually still running but uh yeah that should be ideal okay so we have 99 yards to the pin and I wouldn’t normally do this but I’m going to hit a full lob wedge because this goes about 100 yard it’s a little downwind and these greens are quite firm so there’s like no chance of it spinning back off of the green and ideally if I start this online and hit it good it should just stop next to the hole Yeah I would never advise hitting a full lob wedge but this is like a one-off scenario when you know I think it’s acceptable to do so so I need to aim nicely here cool so full 60 this should hopefully go close piig bounce stopped yeah that’s like that’s close and it pretty much came out exactly how I wanted to like I said because the greens are firm and because it’s downwind even though I hit that full that still took a big hop forward and then checked up spun back so uh yeah that was uh that was really nice to play actually this is actually where it bounced so that yeah took a huge hop actually um it’s close by no means is this a tapping birdie we’ still got 5 to 6 feet here I mean yeah it’s about 6t so initially I don’t see much movement I don’t feel anything there yeah don’t know kind of seeing some movement to the left but I don’t feel anything so you know from 6 fet if I think it’s straight and I’m doubting anything else then I need to then commit to that focus on lining this up right in the middle of the cup and yeah so now I just can’t really doubt my line I need to commit to this and you know whatever the result we just accept it okay that was a good part um 29 is on okay so whole 9 is quite fun actually it’s 294 to the pin um wind down off the right slightly as you’ve probably gathered this nine is not that difficult it’s a it’s a nice fun nine to play but it’s by no means anywhere near as difficult as the old or the new course here uh With the Wind being off the right I’m going to probably start this at the flag and then play like a nice high cut I need to take a bit off this cuz full drive is a bit too much but the Miss is right for sure um so yeah just pick a good line here and then hit a nice smooth high cut try give ourselves an eagle here that would be [Music] nice ah started a bit too far right but that should come down just just right in the green yeah H not great but chiping pot all right so pin High here once it lands on it should funnel down slightly right to left so need to pick out a nice landing spot maybe five ft on the green about 1 to 2T right of the pin okay so if I land it there with a fairly low trajectory with a l wedge it should run out to within a few feet should start to come back okay 3T God if I missed this that would be funny all right yeah I mean that Nine’s not very tough but game feels good all right so I just want to say very quickly if you have tuned into this video or the last one I really appreciate it so thank you very much um there is going to be quite a lot coming on YouTube for me over the next few months though although I did decide last year that I was going to stop competing and that I no longer really had a desire to play fulltime I will be playing in a handful of events this year with the idea to document them and be miked up both with myself and my caddy and I do think that that style of content will be really engaging and um I don’t think it’s really been done before so I’m looking forward to doing that as well as a ton of other stuff on YouTube but if you have any recommendations
