Shaun KloetzerShaun Kloetzer shot 68 at Seneca on Sunday, made six birdies worth four points each in the modified Stableford scoring format, then survived a finishing birdie run by Ryan Stefanski to win the 2025 Cleveland Metroparks Golf Seneca Stableford.
With a scoring format awarding one point for par, four for birdie, and -1 for double bogey or worse, Kloetzer made only two bogeys on his day, collected 10 pars, and a whopping six birdies — including three in his last four holes, including the 18th — for a 34 point total.
Ryan StefanskiStefanski also made six birdies in his round — including a clutch close with three-in-a-row on 16-17-18. But a double-bogey 6 on the par-4 eighth, and one less par than Kloetzer was the difference, as he finished with 32 points total for solo second.
Three players tied for third place with 30 points each: Lucas Liberatore, Andrew Grayson, and Ryan Wirtz. Liberatore and Wirtz both shot 68 to match Kloetzer’s total score, but they did so with bogey-free rounds and thus two fewer birdies each. Grayson made five birdies against three bogeys for 70.
The final event of the 2025 Cleveland Metroparks Golf schedule is the Bill Barbour Cup with its 6/6/6 jumble format at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Brecksville on Saturday, September 6th.
